I'd sign up in a second for a WGSH subscription if it were offered on Matty Collector.com

This produced mixed feelings at first, but now I think it's all (or almost all) positive. This way kids will be able to experience the joy we had and we can fill some glaring holes in our collections.

But are the bodies fixed? Alot of people had problems with the strings being too tight or plastic too soft. Any word on this?
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
              Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

From what I read. These new Figures will be on Mattel Bodies. There different than the EMCE bodies in shape. Not sure on there quality

I still haven't heard if these bodies are solid or held together with rubber o-rings. Anyone know for sure?

You're right. It's funny that after all of these threads/posts, we still don't know the answer to that proverbial $64,000.00 question.

Anybody in the know care to help us out???

I know. I have some prototypes of the body.

I'm not sure what I'm allowed to spill. Let me check on that and get back to you.

I thought Emcetoys stated early in the question response process somewhere in the multiple threads that there are no bands in the internals. So I'm guessing the new body is similar in shoulder/hip construction to a Joe.

                        [Edit]
Having checked, either I remembered that information incorrectly or the info has been "redacted" ... like maybe it's still under development.

If these are going to be at TRU they surely can't be priced over $20 each right? I really can't see parents buying their kids a $20 figure. Now me on the other hand, I'd buy a $20 figure for myself.

Expect these figures to be priced about the same as the Star Treks
as a rule of thumb. Bigger retailers may have some wiggle room on
                            the final price.

I pulled up the inflation calculator and $20.00 today is equivalent to $5.00 in 1975. That is exactly what a GI Joe cost, at the time.

$14.00 today would put the price very close to what Megos sold for in 1975. $16.00 would be only slightly higher.

As Elmer Fudd would say, " It's awww wewative.".

Kind of puts some perspective on how much our folks were paying for these things back in the day, if you do a little research.
(and I don't remember my folks ever *****ing about the price of Mego, Joes, Big Jim, or The Lone Ranger.)

I guess what I am trying to get at is the fact that I balk a little at the price I see slapped on new Star Wars figures, but that $6.75 price tags pans out to exactly what they cost me in 1977, when adjusted for inflation. The vehicles are about $15.00 cheaper, now. Now wonder they had to wait for Christmas and couldn't be a, "Hey Mom, how bout ya buy this for me?" type of thing.
