    The name Murphy's sounds familiar but I have no personal recollection of going there.
    Besides getting my Monsters at Two Guys; the very last new Mego I got was at Big N and it was my second Soldier Ape which also happened to be a cuffed version but still a type 1.

      I believe all of mine came from the Ben Franklin store in my hometown.
      It was like that when I got here.

        As far as Mego's go it was always.......and nanna they have batman and robin and aquaman and this huge shark and spiderman, oh and they have planet of the apes and hulk and the fantastic four with all 4 members but johnny is in fire mode and the astronaut and a bunch of soldier apes and wonderwoman, no nanna she isn't an ape she is a superhero, then you have zaius hes a doctor but an ape, and riddler and penquin and other bad guys. then i breath again....

            For me it was TRU, Kresges, and a place called Juvenile Sales.

              I just thought of another long gone store I used to see Mego's in ... Jamesway.
              There was a Jamesway near where my grandparents lived. In the eighties I used to go there to play whatever Atari game they had on display and stay for hours. I got really good on Defender one summer. I think one of my Kirks may have come from there, but it was a gift so there was no label on it when I got it.
              It's all good!

                  I don't recall what store my Megos came from but I'd guess Woolworth's, K-Mart, Danner's or Rink's.

                        My Mommy bought me the 7 I had..., Outside of that, I seriously Dunno.. , I do know back in the Day Montgomery Wards was the Happing Store,.. Who knows.

                              Gemco (since sold to Target in the West Coast) was the main store for me for Mego shopping.
