My Sweet New Collection Set Up

Forget ikea detolfes, I'm going all cardboard!

Actually, I've finally had enough of my crowded little room, it's wood panelling, lack of proper insulation and falling apart drop ceiling.

I'm going to be hard to reach for a while, this is why. Seriously, I'm in way over my head here.

I'm really resisting the urge to buy shag carpet.

I'm pretty useless at home improvement tasks myself.

But I love the shag carpet idea. It should totally have a Plaid Stallion lounge-feel.

I'm pretty basic myself, I'm bringing in an old boss to build a new wall as I'm going to add about 48 square feet to the room. I can do certain things but I've never built a frame before and I'm not anxious to attempt it.

But I love the shag carpet idea. It should totally have a Plaid Stallion lounge-feel.
My wife is worried about resale but I can't help but wonder if I can find me some orange and brown...

Cant wait to see those wood panel walls.
They're in a dumpster now, they were fun for ten years but I needed some change.

Go for the SHAG Carpet! Its only Cosmetic and can be changed easily for resale. Just think of the joy it will bring!
Too many toys. Not enough space!

Great idea Brian. I've noticed many a fine collection looking less appealing because of it's suroundings. I always wonder why instead of spending more money of toys, many collectors don't take a break and buy some nice shelves, some paint and some better lighting. How a collector displays their collecton is at least 50% of makes a collection great IMHO.

Your room sounds about like mine. Wood paneling and a drop down ceiling. I hate it. The paneling makes it too dark in there and the ceiling takes up so much room that I could use. Good luck with the renovation. I'd love to see pics when you're finished.

Thats Awesome that Your Going to upgrade the place where you Keep your Treasure. I'm still slacking, I have all My MEGOS in boxes and in the closet for storage. All that I have on display are 6 WGSH MEGOS. Hopefully in the Near Future I'll get off my butt and display My Collection. Good Luck

                      oh yeah,

                      shag.

If'n you can't find some good orange and umber; go for the green/tan combo. It'll go well with the bamboo texture for the walls.

If you can't get the shag carpet at least get a suitable sofa and chair.
