Forget ikea detolfes, I'm going all cardboard!

Actually, I've finally had enough of my crowded little room, it's wood panelling, lack of proper insulation and falling apart drop ceiling.

I'm going to be hard to reach for a while, this is why. Seriously, I'm in way over my head here.

Are we going to see you on that TV show where the Canadian guy (big guy with a flat top haircut..can't remember his name or show name) goes in and finishes rooms that weren't completed or completed improperly after the owner got in over their head?

Just kidding. I look forward to the progress pics, as well!

Don't stop with the shag, go for a 70's room, right down to a toy store aisle (of your favorite store of course).

Seriously, good luck with the renovations. I have a long list of things that need to be fixed up myself, including a room of fake wood paneling.

Good luck on the renovations. A great collection deserves a nice room to display it in. During my moves, having my collection packed away in boxes always made me sad, so I'm sure your just itching to unpack yours.

I'm jealous. I may never have a toyroom.

Maybe some sweet vintage style linoleum instead of shag. That's trendy now. Might make Michelle happier.

I love unpacking toys after a move. One year I waited until Christmas morning and unpacked the whole collection then. Best Christmas EVER.

Ugh! That's just plain overwhelming when you get to that point. It's easy to rip it all down, not quite so easy to put it all back together. Good luck with it. Especially the drywall mudding part. When I did my bathroom recently, I discovered that I absolutly hate drywall mudding/sanding.

I helped my brother finish his basement at his old house. Not a fan of drywall mudding and sanding either Dave. It will be worth it in the end Brian.

                    lol, awesome display!

Reminds me of about half of my collection. I have been trying to organize and rearrange it for about 2 years now. UGH

I think it's funny you wanna go retro with paneling and shag carpet. We recently moved this summer and my office was last redone in the 1970s so it has brown shag carpet and wood paneling. I'm living your dream? I never liked the look in the 70s so I am trapped in the room that time forgot................
                        Does this mean I'm cool?

                            sadly just mouse poo.

While I've decided against shag (the current carpet is pretty mint) but I'm going for orange walls.

I've also decided to build something in there for my wife's lego obsession. I may never come out of there.

I think we all here need our own Batcave or Fortress of Solitude for our collections! Good luck on the build Brian.
