Yeah, they messed that up a few times... There's even that puzzle of Caesar, Lisa, and Cornelius II that was sold as "Zira, Cornelius, and Lucius"... I suppose to those people, all apes looked alike, the bigots!

Oh, we'll throw FOX in with "those people"... These days, they are the living embodiment of the term, especially since they seem to think no one will be able to recognize a "fake" APEMANIA ape from an original film ape on the upcoming DVDs!

Oh boy, you don't know how that rubs me the wrong way. I've already gone on record to state I suppose when FOX gets around to release All ABOUT EVE on Bluray they'll probably get a drag queen Bette Davis look-alike for the packaging. Having worked with FOX through the years (from Beta/VHS to Laser) for the Apes I've seen a sad down hill dip in the people who make decisions there.

yeah but every other person is a trek fan of some sort. back then i would guess that much fewer where apes fans.

I kinda remember a displaced war between POTA and STAR TREK fans in the 70's, kinda like Disco vs. rock. Usually the fans seemed to be very much divided, much like the SPACE:199 VS. STAR TREK. (Althought SPACE fans seemed to like POTA well.
Then came the whole STAR WARS thing. When it come to that I'm like the character in the film FREE ENTERPRISE who will argue with a kid in Toys R Us over the virtues of LOGAN'S RUN any day. I know someone who say the Eric McComick character in that film is me to a T.

Well, when I was a kid, I watched Trek in syndication on Sundays. I didn't really go for the Apes. But as an adult, I've really gotten into both. So you see, people can like both!
