By now, I think we've established Danny Pink already. I like the character and where they are going with this, so hopefully we can now move forward.

The Doctor has always been an outspoken critic of soldiers (especially the Brigadier) so it's not like it's out of the blue, but they're definitely playing it up here to make Clara's decision hard.

Yeah, pretty much a "filler" episode. Not that much of a story, more of a showcase for Doctor-Clara banter. It's fun too watch the verbal sparring, but that's about it.
I wonder why the Doctor is so harsh on Pink for being a soldier. He has had a long association with UNIT, people like Leela were warriors/soldiers, and he himself fought in the Time War. His resentment is a bit misplaced.
Can't say I'm very fond of Pink and the whole boyfriend thing.

Okay, so now is the girl going to be a companion? They keep showing her a lot. I think Clem and the girl should be the new companions!

Cindy and I were talking about Capaldi. I think I know why I like him: he's gruff, think's he's smarter than everybody else, abrasive, can be rude...but deep down has a lot of heart and compassion for the human race.

He's Batman!!!

Fun episode tonight, despite the gruffness ( or perhaps because of it) this Doctor has a lot of humorous moments. I loved the bit with him liking the bow tie guy over Pinky.
Say, if Pinky becomes a companion, and the Doctor is the "Brains" of the group, are you thinking what I'm thinking? Narf!

Tonight's episode was kind of mediocre. Really sick of the whole Clara's boyfriend thing now.
But Capaldi is still great.
