    Talk about impact?

Okay then---STAR WARS has more of it.

One STAR WARS movie makes more than all 10 TREK movies combined----or
    just about any way.

Quality over quantity, my man. Complain about JAR Jar etc. all you want...
TREK STILL gets buried by WARS at the box office.

Also---"pop culture references"? Gimmee a break. TREK wishes it had the
pop culture references (aka impact) shot for shot that STAR WARS has.... Lets
see ROBOT CHICKEN or FAMILY GUY even TRY to do satirical/parody
episodes on TREK and have them measure up to what they did with WARS--
--they can't do it...because WARS has so much more to offer.

I will take pizza over burgers and fries any day of the week, but once in a while I do feel like having a good cheeseburger.

Jar Jar Binks, The Ewok Yub Yub song , The Holiday Special . Come on That says it all.

Oh and the fact the first Space shuttle was named Enterprise shows you where the true impact lies.
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
                Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

It's gotta be Star Wars. It was like a love at first sight when the movie came out back in the seventies. It took me a while to get into the whole Star Trek thing.

                    so...

                    1) You'd rather point out STAR WARS' flaws to prove TREK's superiority?
Makes no sense...as you have to "break a few eggs" to make an omellete
(and do you really want me to go into Trek's flaws? No reason to.)

                    and

                    2) NASA space people name their ship after a TREK ship?

                    And?

That's just a small team of whoevers....STAR WARS' impact on culture
is bigger period. Trek may have influenced technology---but that's
just a small part of the pie...overall STAR WARS wins with its presence
in the public consciousness....and that's (obviously) what counts.

Its OK I know the truth hurts.

Remember it is the early sci fi classics that helped shaped the vision that would be Star Wars.

                          STAR TREK!!!!!
All the way baby....I can agree that slave leia was hot but,NO-WHERE near as hot as Uhura in the mini skirt EVERY Episode not just 10 minutes out of one movie....Common you a man or a mouse???...LOL

What did Trek have I'll tell you what they had....They went where no man has gone before!!!! Beat that??? You can't.
And by the way just what exactly was the force anyway????Oooo...it's an invisible power that nobody can see....scary Kirk woulda whipped out his Kirk-Fu and beat the Emporer and Darth+obi,Qwigon, mace Yoda ,anakin ,luke solo and fett all at the same time. And just finish that franchise off he woulda Kirk-kicked them into the sarlac pit where they would be digested for ever...NAnananana.
If that wasn't enough they would have beamed Scotty over to the death star and had him Pull the pin on that oversized pineapple grenade and blow it away.
Then Spock would have told darth how illogical it was for him to be trying to fight his son???

P.S I do like star wars as well, just not as much....
