Star Wars or Star Trek?

Trek isn't that original....Forbidden Planet has most of the Trek innovations right there...then theres a large dash of Horatio Hornblower, the influence of westerns, the cold war, the space race, Rodenberry's previous outings and proberly many others.
Yes I know Star Wars was influenced by The Hidden Fortress, various myths, Watership Down, Dune, Seven samurai and many others.
The point is don't say Trek is original or "The Original" as it's just not true...

Star Wars! Yeah only 6 movies and it's influence is equal or greater than Star Trek which has had so much more on TV and movies.

I loved the TNG alot and have all the dvds of this show but the 1st series at times was totally dumb to me and I couldn't stay interested but did watch it alot as my brothers loved it. I do love the mego figures so much more than star wars figures except for the vintage large star wars figures I don't care for the rest of the star wars figures.

I simply can not make that choice. Both had major impact on Sci-Fi, but regardless of that, they are both a big part of my childhood in different ways and I just can't pick one!

I like them both a lot.

The original SW trilogy can't be beat...the very best.

However, SW also was very bad in the new trilogies. I'm sorry, but no matter how many millions Lucas spent on CGI...those last three flicks sucked...and sucked big.

Trek also had some solid films, Wrath of Khan, Contact, etc...

Trek also had some horrid ones, Trek V, Insurrection, etc...

Yes, SW's box office success is light-years ahead of Trek, but I don't put much into box office...that's just money.

Slave Leia was smoking hot, but so was green Orion dancer, lol.

So going by my post so far, it's a draw.

So lets tie-brake this sucker...

He would slaughter all the Jedis and Sith combined and not even brake a sweat, Kirk is the man, Kirk rules, Kirk is GOD.

Star Trek wins because of Kirk.

Star Trek is about the voyages of the Starship Enterprise and the 5 year mision it went on,thats if your on about the original series

Star Wars is about an Evil Empire trying to control the galaxy and a bunch of Rebels fighting back,then they all turn out to be related to each other Luke,Leia and Darth.(brother,sister and dad)

I like them both as they are on 2 different parallels but Star wars gets it for me,lots of cool monsters and Droids.

Anyone who loves either could come up with a multitude of reasons why their choice is better and the other is worse.
I love the original trek only and the original crew films only , but I looooooooooooooooooooooove Star Wars and it's as simple as that...no arguement could ever convince me otherwise in my choice....and consequently no arguement would ever convince anyone else with the choice they make.
