Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will hit all Theaters on May 23, 2014

I will be the first one back to this thread after seeing the movie, so I can gobble up all these goodies WITHOUT reading any more spoilers (one of the above links already revealed more than I need to know, and that was BEFORE any were tagged "Possible Spoilers" -- I should have known better).

I an a HUGE fan of the franchise, but I am quite partial to the prosthetic makeup of the original movies + television series, over the CGI reimagining. Even Tim Burton's version remained true to the technique -- and is a far better movie (IMHO) than most people give it credit... but to each their own.

But... another Planet of the Apes movie? Yes, please. Cornelius gives the idea Two Opposible Thumbs Up --

2 things here...the old defined the differences in the ape / gorilla population ...yes its easy enough to tell an ape from gorilla ,but the old felt better ...the new trailer looks like a huge monkey fest NO TRUE definition !Secondly...is the music in the beginning sounding like GODZILLA tune?...WELL maybe its just me but I'll still take the 60's over the new anyday... ...I'm old enough to remember the GoOd ol days of the APE !

I love the old Apes, really like the new Apes.

Found new respect for The Planet of the Apes in the 90's with the documentary.


Apes makes me wonder if the news media realizes the push to raise min. wage is almost the same plot as Conquest of the Planet of the Apes.

I'm jealous! I can't get either of my kids to commit. They say it looks too scary and that the Apes movies never have a happy ending. They don't get that I actually like that. I'm sure I'll sucker my wife into going at some point.
