It was released on DVD recently.
I didn't really dig it as much as when I was young,
a couple of scenes were cool,
but my kids loved it.

I never saw the comic books.

But still, it's the only Bond movie that I like.

Ah Condorman! I've been looking for the comic book of that film for years! I had it as a kid and have tried to find it to no avail. I'm sure the movie was bad, but it is a childhood memory I would like to relive.

I'm not the biggest Moore fan either, don't hate him just prefer Connery. As for Moonraker, I'll admit I've never sat through it all, fallen asleep twice during. I still want to check it out though. I'm a fan of star wars inspired schlock, I think I like that better than Star Wars.

Never cared for the Moore Bonds. There was just something about him that didn't seem believable as 007.

Seems like bond films, especially post Connery, are hit or miss for me.
I liked Moore when I was too young to realize he wasn't that great. I loved Connery, Lazenby was not memorable for me, hated Timothy Dalton, Brosnan was ok , but the writing and leading ladies stunk, and I really like Daniel Craig.

Loved Dr. Goodhead! I loved her almost as much as I loved Miss Plenty O'toole. I also liked ***** Galore and of course Miss Money Penny.

I like Moonraker. I thought it was a fun movie and I personally think Roger Moore gets unfairly criticized. I liked him as Bond because he didn't play it like Connery.

To be honest, there really aren’t any Bond films I don't like. I also don't have a favorite Bond actor. I think they were all really good for their time.

Connery is Bond, nuff said. Without him being cast as Bond the series wouldn't have taken off of or lasted this long in my opinion.

Since he only did one movie, I don't really have a strong opinion on Lazenby. On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a good movie, just not one of my favorites of the series.

Moore's lighthearted and romantic take was right for the 70s. Connery's sexist Bond worked in the 60s but probably wouldn't have fit in the age of women's lib.

Dalton also did a really good job. But I think at the time the studio wasn't really sure how to update the character and they were transitional movies.

Brosnan brought Bond's edge back and was the right guy for the 90s.

Craig's brutal "blunt instrument" Bond totally kicked ***. But really wouldn't have worked earlier.

If you adjust for inflation, it made more than TND & Goldeneye. I know most people 40 and over hate it, to each his own.

I wouldn't use the word flop in the same sentence as Moonraker. I think it's the highest grossing Bond film. Moonraker is the first 007 film I saw and I loved it. I'm sure anyone from the Star Wars generation loved it.

While I'm not a big fan of the Moore Bonds, I like Moonraker. Granted, it can't even compare with Goldfinger or Casino Royale, but taken in the context of the Moore Bonds I think it's one of the more entertaining one's to watch.

And for those who dislike Moonraker because it's not faithful to the book, I might point out that You Only Live Twice pretty much chucks the book as well.

I'll say this, while I prefer Connery over Moore, I'd watch Moonraker over Diamonds Are Forever any day.

It seems like the media (ever since it was new) called James Bond's Moonraker a flop, but so far--- every person i've ever talked about it loves it.

I think it's a fun movie... even though it is a little slow from the begining.

I have a hunch the people that don't like it are extreme James Bond fans who think too much liberty was taken with the premise and events of the movie.

Me, I could care less.

I'm not a fan of the film. I do have some nostalgia for it because it was the
first Bond movie I saw in a theatre. It's far too silly for it's good.

They are two very different animals, the movie and book, but Ian Fleming's
novel is a good read.

The movie was not a flop in the commercial sense. I believe that in 1979 it
was actually the highest grossing film in the series. Of course if you want
to adjust for inflation then "Thunderball" is still the highest grossing film.

Actually I would reccomend watching "Thunderball" instead of "Moonraker".
"Thunderball" has it's faults but the two films have similar run times and your
time would be better spent with Sean than Roger.
