I had all of the comics that Marvel did when I was a kid and was curious on the movie. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I thought they did pretty good with the whole look of it, good casting and the story was fine. Movies are like that, some people love them and some people hate them.

Watched this last nite.. knew absolutely nothing about the character or the comic etc. What I did know was that it was a huge BO flop and I only rented it cuz I had a free coupon that was expiring
But I was pleasantly surprised.. not a great flick, but decent and watchable, tho I would describe the John Carter actor as wooden at best. The CGI aliens were certainly more fun than anything they came up with in the SW prequels..Comment
