Seriously, it's like a coach throwing a game because he bet against his team. They have success after success, then it's like they forgot everything they knew for one film. That's how baller Disney is--they don't even care if they lose $250,000,000.

I believe you've answered your own question....
        Does. not. compute.

Maybe after being a box office "flop" they just want to bury it now. Becoming a DVD success, ΰ la Shawshank Redemption, and then being forced to make a sequel might be their worst nightmare.

A quick google shows the regular movie posters (sad as they are) were better than the DVD cover.

Huge ERB fan, and was shocked and appalled at the way Disney handled this property. Will happily buy the DVD. Hopefully John Carter will return to films or tv again someday

I could care less what the critics say, I enjoyed the movie. It was fun. I thought the effects were cool and the princess was nice looking. Professors won't be lecturing on it in film class 20 years from now, but to me it was better than par for the sci-fi/fantasy genre.

I second that! Awesome film, Great Soundtrack. I wish there had been toys, happy meals, a cartoon series... etc.

I felt I got my moneys worth every time I saw it...
              Cheers,

I loved the film, and if I they don't produce a sequel I hope at least another company buys the rights, like what happened with Narnia...
<>_<> I will always be watching you, always.

*BUMP* June 5th is here! Best Buy and Walmart have the regular and Blu-Ray at lowest prices. $17.99/$24.99 on the web. In stores they charge a bit higher.

This movie was better than The Avengers!

                        I saw it twice.
My 13yr old saw it 3 times.
My wife and older son saw it once.

My wife was shocked that she liked it. We just took her. She had no idea what it was.

I'll get the DVD but not sure which one. Did I see there is a 3D DVD? The 3D wasn't all that much in the theater. I saw it in IMAX 3D I think and then in 3D at the Discount Theater for $3 this past weekend.

I need to read the books I think. Great movie. Very well made.

I've seen it and... It's not that bad at all. The lead is a bit wooden but all else seems fine. It does have a slight pacing problem too.

Blu-ray's not out until July 2nd in UK.
Might just import the Region A version.

If you get the 3D combo pack at Best Buy you get 5 disks. 3D Blu-Ray, Regular Blue-Ray, Digital Copy, Regular DVD and a bonus disk other stores aren't offering-exclusive to Best Buy. I haven't got a Blu-Ray player but for $29.99 at BB it's a good deal.
