I think it's too soon for Khan. Maybe by film 3. Khan is dependably bankable but it doesn't mean you're going to get a ST II type adventure.

Agreed. I think they should have a Klingon as the bad guy for 2.

It's like a cross between a big budget fan produced Star Trek movie and a SNL Star Trek sketch.

It's watchable, but it aint the real Star Trek

I'm sure I'm in an extreme minority here, but JJ's Star Trek is my favorite movie in the last decade. Just perfect casting and a very interesting and fun script. It's not perfect(spock and Uhura) but it's a perfect blend of contemporary scifi action and the spirit of the original cast films. Once I finally break down and buy a blu-ray, this is the first movie I buy along with Predator.

Dude you can't go wrong with this movie.
