The original Star Trek for me to (and the movies with the crew). I like the stories and the actors. The Next Generation is pretty good but I dont like it nearly as much. Ive tried the others but they arent for me.

I just had a Next Gen flashback

I still remember when "The Naked Now" (second episode) premiered and I was thinking how stupid it was to have Data and Yar sleep together for the sake of an awkward not even funny moment.

Season one was really nasty ... It's actually hard to believe it didn't get cancelled after season-1

        1 TOS
        2 TNG
        3 Enterprise
        4 DS9
        5 Voyager

        Voyager was just horrible imo

It also proved that TNG was regurgitating TOS plots without the charm of the original cast to help them go over. Of course most of us didn't know that many early TNG scripts were left over Phase II scripts from 10 years earlier.

Who would you rather be stuck on a starship with? Wesley always reminded me of Dr. Zee from Galactica1980.
Hey is that Dr. Zee guy Oliver from Brady Bunch? That kid that broke stuff all the time and was a jynx? Wesley was a chode mite. Dr. Pulasky was way better as the Doctor. That Hologram Doctor Idea was the worst. Dr. McCoy was and always will be my favorite character cause he told it like it is. Trip reminded me of him, I liked Enterprise I just didn't like their uniforms.

I remember meeting James Doohan right before he appeared on Next Gen

He even told me to watch him on an upcoming Next Gen episode

The solution to almost every TNG crisis was modulating the deflector shield. I don't know how many times Data suggested it to Picard, and "made it so".

On a side note, the recent Big Bang Theory episode with Wheaton and Spiner made me appreciate these guys a bit more. I've heard Spiner can be a real pain, so it was fun to see him poking fun at himself.

Totally, I have that big Phase 2 book with the scripts and NG is Phase 2 slightly retooled. They pretty much just scratched out the names of the original characters and replaced them with the NG ones. Decker became Riker and empathic Ilia became emphathic Troi. Picard was a neutured Kirk and emtionaless Data was Spock but without being remotely likable or interesting.

And don't forget and the Holodeck malfunctions of the week. You know, as obviously dangerous and prone to malfunction it was, it never once crossed their minds to disable the stupid thing.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Nostalgia is very powerful, but cast chemistry, "new ground," and earnestness make make ST:TOS (and it's corollary animated "4th season") rewatchable for me. Classic stuff, for a reason.

Nothing--NOTHING--can top for me the triumvirate of Kirk-Spock-McCoy in terms of reeling out a story.

I've watched all the other versions, but for me they are ultimately tired variations on a theme.

I think I like Enterprise more than most here, but I can barely rewatch TNG.

I think Next Gen is a good example of what Classic Trek would have been if NBC had not interfered with Roddenberry's "vision" from the very beginning.

The Cage is kind of Next Gen-ish (not necessarily a good thing)

^Good point. More cerebral, like Rodenberry originally wanted. It's why Picard never threw a punch until "First Contact".

Pike still had way more balls than Picard

Picard would never say ------------ I think it just blasted a hole in that window and you're keeping us from seeing it. You want me to test my theory out on your head?
