I was going regardless but now I'm excited. The only thing is I've made plans with two people to see it, one is my wife, looks like i'm going twice.

Ebert said "...Serkis and/or Caesar gives the best performance in the movie." That's promising.

okay....ths short - great movie, really well done. great acting cast. CGI was really well done. story was really well done.

it just does not really feel like a POTA movie....maybe a little towards the end, don't want to give any spoilers here......make sure you stay past the credits, there is a very important scene which ties into the future of the series.
lot of nods to the originals with lines taken right out of it. subtle clue as to a modern day missing shuttle crew as well.
definately worth the money. even if you don't consider it part of the Apes universe it is a really good movie in it's own right

Got to see it today. So much better than I thought it would be. It's a well thought out re-thinking of the ape concept. I hope the next one isn't too far off.

Took the wife to this, our first movie together in two years. We both loved it, I think she liked it better than me. Despite the lengthy trailers showing the story, the movie still had some surprises for me.
