When you spend that much of investors' money and artists' time to make something you quickly admit is horrible, you should not be permitted to engage in filmmaking for another 7 years....

each film needs to be judged on its own instead of tying them together....i loved the first transformers movie but not the second...i loved the last 2 batman movies but hate all the ones before it....i think all 3 Spiderman films suck beyond words but I still love Spiderman.....i just think each movie has its own identity so why lump them in together ?

If they want to fill seats, those words should be right on the movie poster.

I saw it last night and thought it was pretty awful. It looks good, espcially in 3D, but I once again had zero interest in what was going on in the movie. The movie just went on forever.

Might be a bit scary/violent for younger kids - people get trampled and incinerated in the film at times
what I did find a bit dissapointing was that they never show why the new autobots adopted NASCAR racecar forms - a missed backtory scene but maybe it was covered in a graphic novel I was unaware of

Peter Cullen was excellent as always as optimus and Frank Welker (cartoon megatron) voices soundwave
got exactly what i expected and it's way better than the 2nd one, PLot is thinner than #1 but more robots and fights so who cares
the VS model is smoking hot but really does even less to move the plot that Megan Fox did in #1 or 2 so she is eye candy for it's own purpose
no spoliers per se but a long time TF fan may see the sting coming early on. I make it a point not to read advances on the plot or cast to keep these films enjoyable for me but i guessed what was coming about half way through

Yeah, in the first two, I mostly just sat there with no idea who was fighting who, or why. On the other hand, I don't particularly care, so long as there were 'splosions and Giant Robots punching each other in the face.

I hate movies that let plot and character development get in the way of punching and 'splosions. I much prefer movies where the title of the movie is also the entire plot of the movie like: American Ninja (Plot: He's a Ninja; also an American), Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus (Plot: There's a Mega Shark - it vs. a Giant Octopus), Zombie Apocalypse (Plot: There's an apocalypse - y'know, because of Zombies), My Dinner with Andre (Plot: A Guy has dinner - with Andre (who, I like to think, is secretly a demon cyborg ninja sent back from the future to enslave mankind - it's there if you look hard enough).

I'm probably not gonna bother seeing this till it comes on HBO, but if it had instead been titled Transformers:'Splosions! I'd be all over it. Bay needs to play to his strengths.

As long as it was better than the second movie I don't care. Then again is should not be hard to top the 2nd train wreck.

I almost have no interest. I thought the first one was bad. The second one was abysmal, I believe Michael Bay even admitted the 2nd one was horrible. I honestly wish they would have siphoned a bit more from the 80s canon of toys and the cartoon.

The mixing up and complete redesign of every single character in both movies, and making Devastator a doglike robot with testicles and "Transformer Heaven"was unspeakably bad on another level.

One of the problems I have with this series. is that they changed the look of the robots a bit to much, I believe the faces and bodies should resemble the Cartoons. What ya all think?
which cartoon remember the classic sunbow 84-89 show's characters were loosely based on the g1 deisgns the first year bots were originally designed in the late 70's. The designs for the film bots are alot closer to what hasbro and takara were doing with TF designs in the late 90's and 2000's especially the alternator and BINALTECH ones

I saw the first one. It felt like Michael Bay's explosive CG diarreah attack.
Other than that, I loved it...
