I had mixed-feelings about it.. I'm also trying to get used to Matt Smith. I love his under-breath quips. And River was funny with her 'quite-a-screamer' inuendo.

I liked the Nixon White House setting (and more comments about 'where's my fez'..).

The story was.. alright. Not too much to get excited about yet. I find myself still missing David Tennant.

I think many of us will have that sense of loss for Tennant, I felt the same loss after Tom's bow about Peter Davison

Hey, did anyone catch the scheduled Liz Sladen tribute over the weekend..??

I heard it was going to be on Saturday evening, but I've only watched the 'Astronaut' premiere, and haven't seen the rest of what I taped.

When was it on..? Which episode was it on before (or after..)...??

I watched it again last night on dvr

Seemed a little better on the second watching.

One little thing I noticed, the old version of Delaware was the guy that played the Klingon prison guard in Trek Undiscovered Country --- "work badly, and you shall die"

Was it? I thought it was Blank Reg.

No, it was the Klingon jailor on Rura Penthe.

Don is right, it is blank Reg. The actor gets around.

Perfect casting to play the older version, his son is the younger one.

At least we now know the real reason Nixon erased all of those tapes.

                      William Morgan Sheppard - IMDb

I guess he's all of the above!
Klingon guard in ST VI, Blank Reg and actual father of the man who played his younger self in Who...

William Morgan Sherpard is cool. He's appeared in Star Trek 3x's I think: ST-TNG, Schizoid Man episode, ST VI-Klingon Jailor, Vulcan Headmaster-Abramsverse Trek. He also played Blank Reg and has been in many Sci-Fi shows.

The new season is very odd. I got the impression I was watching David Lynch Doctor Who with the Impossible Astronaut. I also think they are swiping some of RTD's imagery. The threatening Astronaut and little girl in trouble remind me of elements from Silence In the Library.

When I seen the spacesuit I thought of the library too

Was waiting for a classic Moffat annoying catchphase - ie (Are you my mommy --- don't blink --- hey, who turned out the light)

I was on the edge of my seat the whole episode. I am dying for next week.

D'oH! Would you believe I meant as producers and not as writers? Brian would you enter that in my similar comment on my FB page? You can add a victory tag too like, "In Your Face John!", LOL!
