there really is a lot of films to this genre and after reading more posts which in turn triggered more memories, I would have to say I love a good 90% of films in this genre
also in my conversion to disc box is ator, hawk and some other stuff (like "hearts and armour") . I am aware Hawk had a nice dvd reg 2 release and I think Ator might have, but I am going to convert these wonderful super old "big box:" vhs versions over soon for the nostalgic viewing
oh and for those that care the Barbarians had a recent region 2 dvd release
you can get it from these good guys here in the US

I just watched Fire and Ice for the first time yesterday. Had it on my netflix list for months but it was never available. I was very impressed with it. While I always liked how Bashki's Lord of the Rings looked, the storytelling was too slow and stilted. I've never made it all the way through it. I figured this would be about the same, but it was so much better. Love how they worked in so many cool Frazetta paintings into the story.Comment

I'd put Arthurian & Robin Hood movies aside in their own genre, and LOTR is an opus unto itself.
For repeat viewing of classic S&S cheesiness, I'd choose:
BeastMaster
Hawk the Slayer
Deathstalker II & Yor are guilty pleasures, tooLast edited by PNGwynne; Jun 6, '10, 6:39 PM.WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.Comment
