I can see your point but we are talking minor players in the star wars universe here, look what he did for episodes 1,2,3 and they were major players.Imagine 100 hours or phantom menace minus jedi and vader....I think not...

Maybe Lucas will do a series based on the diner as seen in Episode 2. That could be good. Kind of an "Alice in Space" kind of thing. Maybe Linda Lavin could be in it too.

Someone needs to stop him before he completely ruins my love (which has been faded) of the original trilogy. The sad thing is that it kind of proves what I had always thought when it came to the Star Wars/ Star Trek debate... too much takes away from it's magic. and well Star Wars seems to have fallen from David Copperfield to "The Masked MAgician that shares all the magicians secrets"
Please George, quit being a dustchComment

There was a comic dark horse did about 2 "nobodys" Tag and Bink and it was done for laughs (a pair of 1shots) that's why the family guy, robto chicken, space balls and hardware wars worked - asn an ongoing series I think you'll get Super hero squad bad kiddie jokes and a lot of Jar jar jibber jabberComment

Hmmmm....
I dunno; the Star Wars universe is big enough that I think you COULD do a comedy, but it'd work best if it featured new characters, new situations, etc. And if the comedy didn't blatantly contradict established stuff. (So if they did something like Marvel's "Damage Control," which was funny BUT made perfect sense in continuitry.)

Yeah, gotta agree. Twisted Mego Theater was actually funny. Robot Chicken is not funny. It just isn't. Their brand of irony always feels a little tone deaf.
Well said. Remember going to a theater and seeing "Star Wars: The Special Edition"? Watching, with an increasing sense of dread and embarrassment, the weird-moving Han Solo and the Greedo-who-shoots-first and the Jabba that looked like poop? It was all a portent of the unmitigated disaster to come. I wish we could take everything from 1997 on, put it in a rocket, shoot it into the sun and pretend it never happened. And then lobby congress to pass legislation barring Lucas from ever, ever going near Star Wars again. (And let Indiana Jones have a restraining order, too. Anyone ever watch that bloated after school special "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles"? Christ, will the destruction never end?) It was a fluke, George. Let it go. Go do The Further Adventures of Howard the Duck or Tucker: Part II or... something. (But please no "Even More American Graffiti". One bad sequel is bad enough.)Someone needs to stop him before he completely ruins my love (which has been faded) of the original trilogy. The sad thing is that it kind of proves what I had always thought when it came to the Star Wars/ Star Trek debate... too much takes away from it's magic. and well Star Wars seems to have fallen from David Copperfield to "The Masked MAgician that shares all the magicians secrets"
Alright, nerd-rant over.
