The pack-in comics had a darker tone as well... and those are probably closer to how I "played He-Man". But if you are going to adapt MOTU, your North Star has to be the Filmation cartoon.

To be fair, the core class movie Teela is nicer in person. But, yeah, still the weakest figure in the first two waves. I think it's the hair piece that does it. Too much forehead showing. There is a core Teela coming with her hair up in traditional Teela style that looks nicer.You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths.
