The dialogue in general is poor. I didn't care for the majority of Earl Hamner's hokey TZ scripts. He'd later go on to create The Waltons.
As far as Mary Badham's voice (yes, she was Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird)....her voice is dubbed only in the outdoor scenes by June Foray. She was hard to understand with her Southern accent. In the indoor scenes with Aunt T, that's Mary's real voice.
