That whole region around the Punjab, Kashmir and further north, is a hodge podge of ethnic grouping. The local convenience store is run by a family new to Canada. For months I thought they were from Central America; their look and accent was definitely from Latin America. Then I heard them speaking their own language. I asked where they were from...
