    I am on "Lost" overload

Since I have been out of work due to surgery for over three weeks now, I have been watching 4 different seasons of Lost at the same time.

I got hooked on Lost last season and some the season before, but missed most of the first two seasons.

So between the regular ongoing season, i am watching seasons 2 & 3 on Sci Fi channel (one airs at 3pm daily and the other at mid-night daily). Plus I am watching the first season on G4 airing daily.

I love this show.....I wish everyday was Wednesday at 9pm (at least for an hour )....the show is captivating and this year LOTS of the backstory is finally being filled in.

Is it just me, or do you find Jack irritating? I wish they would have killed him and kept Charlie or Mr Echo.

I am completely obsessed by LOST right now. This season has been amazing, so many answers to questions that we've had since forever. It's awesome. I too can't wait for Wednesdays but it the meantime there's so much to read about and ponder. I spend a lot of time with Lostpedia and listen to a couple of the podcasts.

There's plenty to be frustrated with by Jack (and Kate...) but their stories are continuing to evolve. The most recent Kate episode really redeemed her baffling character for me and I think the same will be for Jack. He and his family may be the key to the show.

I wish I'd never gotten into it. I'm so obsessed I can't wait for Thursday mornings (I can't stand commercials, so I watch it on the computer now). If I'd waited until it was over and watched it all on DVD at once I'd be so much better off. Summer is pure heck for me.

I started watching it last season. Love the show and am trying to catch up and figure out all the details. Missed this past week's show where Ben was to be judged by the island? I need to try to catch this episode...
It was like that when I got here.

If you have "On Demand", you can watch it there for free, or the episode should be on line by now.

Just watched the last two episodes. I had my doubts with all the time travel (ala Hugo's and Mile's circular arguments), but it looks like certain things are starting to tie up neater than I expected. Although I will truly be amazed if they do manage to somehow resolve all the "dead end" character loops such as Ana Lucia, Mr Ecco, Boon and his sister, and Hugo's dead girlfriend. I would be really impressed if they did.

Really liked the Linus episode and the insight into his character. He's been the show's main antagonist, but he's really not your run of the mill "villian".

Just the opposite...I USED to find him irritating with his having to fix everything attitude. I sort of like the laid-back Jack we're seeing in the 70s. Dude needed to chill out.

Ben is GREAT! Last week's episode was amazing. I love how he continues to evolve as a character. He could have been so one-note (in fact he was only originally scheduled for 3 episodes or so) but Michael Emerson really nailed the part. I have to laugh that over the course of several seasons now this unassuming looking little guy is such an evil manipulator who keeps getting the crap beat out of him (think about it over the course of the seasons and how many days it's actually supposed to be) and keeps bouncing back.

Hugo and Miles are a cool duo. The dialogue between them about the time travel was such a shout-out to every fan's questions you couldn't help but geek out.

I love how they're stretching it out. When he finally DOES do something it's going to be amazing.

I love this show. It's the best thing to hit TV in decades. I too, eagerly await Wednesday nights. I always try to rewatch the past seasons back to back just before the new season starts. It makes more sense if you can watch the storyline close together like that.

A question for all the other Lost fans...

I've always been curious if the writers have known all along what the end game would be or if they started writing all this crazy stuff and then figured out later how to resolve it.

What's the best example you can think of where the writers paid off an earlier plot point?

Some earlier seemingly important plot points have really disappeared. Like the numbers and the reason they had to push the numbers in the computer in the Swan hatch.

Also... remember when the huge, strange bird flew by Hurley, I think 1st or 2nd season... what was with that?

The earliest strange occurance that I can think of that has recently paid off is the possible meaning of the whispers. They are hinting now that this is because of the Losties travelling in time.

Sometimes I feel like they just write crazy stuff in and think "ahh... we'll figure it out later."
