Yes there will be a 7-9. We are still a few years off from it, because we have to wait for ILM to get CGI people realy looking human. Once ILM reaches this point He will make the movies 100% CGI. George is heading this way, The of corse they will also be in 3D followed by the first 6 being releases in 3D.

I think its gonna happen after he dies too. And he strikes me as one of those guys that will get well in his 90s even over a hundred so we may not even see it. I heard Stephen King say once that he had so much stuff in his vault that has never been published that youll his books for 300 years after he is dead.
I am suprised this hasnt come up yet but they are in production of a Live action Star Wars tv show right now. It isnt going to focus on any main characters other than possibly Luke on tatooine as a teen and they did say Definatly Jabba and His "crew" will be in it. It was in a Star Wars insider last year, i think it actually is supposed to be coming out this fall so there should be some markerting soon.

I thought they originally said that some of the books in the Star Wars Universe were supposed to take the place of the last three movies (since the original cast wouldn't be able to do it). But of course this was before the prequels came out. I'm just waiting for them to remake the original three like they have so many other older movies.sigpicComment

Overall letdown?
That's a gutbuster.
The new trilogy made a billlion dollars.
THAT would be enough...
still...to ADD to that....the WORST criticism he got
were from 30 y.o. and up classic SW fans that post on message boards.
AND with REVENGE OF THE SITH, Lucas went out a GREAT NOTE
critic-wise and box office-wise.
If Lucas doesn't greenlight a new trilogy with Hamill involved
---it's a cheat to millions of fans and the industry people who
stand to make ANOTHER billion on STAR WARS.
Go for it Lucas!"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

How old is Lucas anyway? He still looks pretty healthy to do another trilogy if he wants to. I think these side projects are just his way of making additonal money to fund another series of films. I think an older Skywalker and an aging bootlegger like Solo could be really fun material to explore. The only thing that stops me cold in my tracks, is the thought of what these actors would demand for salaries. Obviously it would have to be a 3 picture deal...maybe. Lucas is pretty thrifty when it comes to producing these films, so I don't know if he would go for it or not. I do believe these would make alot more money than the prequels because it would have the original cast, which is what I think alot of fans have been missing. That chemistry would be magical!Comment

I have heard alot about this show,.. & Read some here & there. I was under the impression that the TV was not going to follow any 1 character religiously... Like this Week It might be about Boba Fett,.. or this Week About Wedge,.. or this week about lets say PloKoon... & then ofcourse,.. a character might come back for a different Episode,.. or maybe a 2 or 3 part story line, or something of That Nature.
I had origionally heard that the TV Show was going to be about Boba Fett,.. but I think those rumors started , as soon as that promo Pic with his Face on it for the TV Show Surfaced.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

Lucas is more into Family Guy any way. Beside, Lucas is such a penny pencher that he give himself and his kids parts in the Episode 3. It was fun watching Lucas's son play a jedi padawan and get kill by the Clone Troopers in the attack on the Jedi Temple.Mego Nudists Fish Nude Show Off your Rod.Comment

>Does anyone else remember that or am I just batty?
I remember WAY back in the day (78 or so) he said there was gonna be nine parts. He started with the fourth 'cos the first three "were like a history lesson." I kinda suspect he'd mucked around with the idea, and then when the first one hit he plotted out the rest. Anakin becoming Vader was pretty much exactly like I remember it being described back when I was a kid. (Although at that time it wasn't stated that Vader WAS Anakin, but the big Vader/ Obi Wan fight had been described somewhere....)
I haven't heard anything about the last three though. So I kinda suspect way back when he had the idea sketeched out, but not solidly enough to comment on. The first three could have been fleshed out (as much as they were) as he was working on Empire.
