I'd love to see a CGI of the Moorcock universe, and I am with Hugh Borg on this one. If the kids like the new stuff, at least some of them will search out the old school roots. The Eternal Champion is on borrowed time otherwise.

When was the last time Jar-Jar appeared in a SW flick to any great extent
(whenever ATTACK OF THE CLONES came out)???

Hey...just cause certain negligible factions are jumping ship
(like the "I hate Jar Jar Binks so screw STAR WARS" faction)
doesn't mean that the ship's passengers who are enjoying a
healthy boat ride should pay any heed to those jumpers.

Actually, after NEMESIS it would have made more sense for Trek-people
to "let go"--cause it sure did "look" over---this new Trek movie will tell!

STAR WARS is healthy as ever and has been since the Zahn novels
were released in the early 1990s

I still want to know if Palpatine was manipulating Jar Jar's rise to power in the Senate or if Binks was just a bumbling idiot that fell for anyone with a bit of charisma.

I think it was a little of both.

It has to be Han and Leia's kids being trained to be the new breed of Jedi by a Yoda like uncle Luke (no make up required, hee hee (;-0). They could also find out that Darth Maul survived episode 1 and is coming to kill them.

Darth Maul survives? Hmmmm. Well he would have to come back a whole lot shorter! Perhaps they could call him Darth Wally.

I thought his damning the galaxy in the second movie was revenge for all the "I hate JarJar" buzz from the fans....

                        BTW,...

I think Episode 7 was suppost to include Material like...,

Luke having to Face the Clone Emperor ..., yes he cloned himself too.

Leia, Discovering the Powers of the Force,.. & Having to Save Luke...

Then maybe towards the end,.. the idea Leia was Pregnate .

Boba Fett Actually Survives the Pitt,.. & is saved by Degar. ... I guess perhaps he is a bit more than just a clone.

Episode 8 should have.. Stuff like

How Obi-wan & Yoda are having trouble talking to Luke,.. because they have been gone for so long,.. the Ability to Talk beyond the Grave only Lasts for so long...

Luke & the Gangs ongoing Battle with the Clone Emperor & the Empire,.. & Leia's Kids in Action

                        Episode 9,...

Well this is the True Wrap Up,.. & the Death of ChewBacca.

I actually read a bunch of this Nonsense Somewhere's,.. & Most was inducted into Books, ... that followed Life after Jedi. Some stuff wasn't too bad,.. but I am one of the only guys on the Forum that Liked the Pre's..., But I am also only 33.

Hey, if they can give Vader bionic legs, why not Maul?
I suggest they rebuild ALL dead bad guys.

Boba: half-digested by Sarlacc stomach acid, but still more or less OK. Give the man some robo-parts. Let those guys from Pimp My Ride have a go. "Pimp My Fett!" (and install a DVD player in his jet pack, while you're at it)

Jango: all he needs is a new head, right? No prob. Paris Hilton has been doing fine without a brain since birth.

Emperor: show a scene where he just bounces back out of the death Star chasm, and presto! (he secretly installed a trampoline at the bottom for just such an occasion)

Jabba: a little mouth-to-mouth from Salacious Crumb, and he's back!
All those Force-choked Imperial Officers: they were just holding their breaths, guys!
Maul: give him some left-over Grievous legs....

We can rebuild them. We have the technology. We can make them better, stronger, faster.
Is it a bird? A plane?
                            No, it's...SuperMaul!

George Lucas: I'm available for scripts. Call me!

The original Trilogy made Lucas one of the wealthiest men on the planet. It pretty much set him up for life and he never had to lift a finger in the Star Wars universe again if he didn't want to. Even before the plans for the new Trilogy cam about, the resurgence of Star Wars nostalgia pretty much granted him a license to print his own money once again (with wookies on them :p)

Given the physical and emotional toll it takes to undertake a project this huge, I don't think it's necessarily fair to dismiss Episodes 1-3 as a pure cash grab. There are far more easier ways to make money (particularly when you already have a great deal of money).

I don't think you will ever find anyone who invests that much blood, sweat, tears and their own money into making a movie ever intends to make a "bad" movie.

Keep in mind how much the adult critics savaged the original trilogy and look at the fact that there is a generation of kids out there who love the new Trilogy as much as we loved the original when we were their age.

I think history is going to be much kinder about these ones twenty years down the line when these kids are adults.
