I like some of the picks, but the numbering is all messed up. Apes, Day the Earth Stood Still and Forbidden Planet should be in the top five with Star Wars and 2001.
I have no problems with Blade Runner being number 1...it's the quintessential sci-fi film, and it's my third favorite sci-fi film of all times behind The Empire Strikes Back and Alien.

....Blade Runner was picked number 1 Hector.
Yes, I agree, most of the picks are fine but the numbering is indeed all messed up.
However, having said that...here's my personal top five from that list:
1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Alien
3. Blade Runner
4. Star Wars
5. Planet of the Apes
The Matrix in the top 25...let alone number six?????
I don't like the Matrix at all but it seems to have this crazy cult followiing
(and, of course some nice box office suucess)_ Oh well.
