for the most part, I have enjoyed all Star Trek shows...seen them all, loved some, tolerated others, but overall, happy to have seen them

Sorry I liked Voyager too. Not as much as the Next Gen but it was OK.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Voyager is half suck but when my TV guide don't have speical shows that make me borning, so I picked that 1 left and watching it. I like the Enterprise and DS9 are good but I like TOS and TNG are the best in my book.
I thought Voyager would be your favorite because of Chakotay.

Actor Robert Beltran is a Mexican indian.

Yep, that's still my favorite Chakotay the Mexican-Indian guy! Thanks for LMK who is he for sure.

I saw Robert Beltran on the first released in 1984 called "Mystic Warrior" on the TV last 13 yrs ago. I copied that 2 VSH tapes in longest hours!

Janeway was crap the show was crap the writing was crap.It was just Crap!!!
The only redeeming quality was 7 of 9 period!!!
Maybe later I'll tell you all how I really feel about this crappy show.
One of the most eloquent and detailed reviews of Voyager I have ever read...I agree with every word...especially the Crap!!! part.
Worst Trek ever indeed, with DS9 running close behind.

The premise had a lot of potential. It could have truly brought back the feeling of being alone on the final frontier....instead it became an even more boring rehash of TNG. I would have tossed the Starfleet/Maquis story line, and dealt with a crew and ship that was really alone. Without the benefits of Starbases and allied worlds to fall behind. The Captain should have really felt the pressure to maintain some kind of order amongst the crew, while finding ways to not only get home, but just survive in the first place. Seeking out resources, and trade partners. Finding clues and directions for home.
That ship should have looked like a patchwork quilt made out of anything and everything by the time it finally made it home!!!

Yea right. She made the show worth watching.

Voyager was definitely not in the class of DS9 as far as depth and storylines, but it was always good for a few good, interesting eps every season. Character-wise, I think the Doctor was easily the best played and most interesting character. Robert Picardo did a masterful and humorous job, and really the Doctor is the only Voyager character that we saw a significant amount of actual development with over all 7 seasons.

My second favorite character would have to be 7 of 9, I guess. Not only was Ryan gorgeous, she did a fantastically understated job of playing a challenging role. And since the writers/creative team was obviously taken with her, we got more than a fair share of good eps concentrating on her.

The rest of the cast I'm pretty MEH about, and I can't say I actually disliked any of them, tho Paris and Kes were easily my least favorites.

Voyager has to be the one series that I can't remember anything about the episodes. The only one that I do is the one with Sulu.

Agreed on Mr. Picardo.. Wonderful, wonderful character actor ~ Always a pleasure to bump into (like 'First Contact'). The story he and most of the cast shined in was the time travel one with Ed Begley, Jr. where the Doc first got his holo-emitter.

That was a nice stretch for all the cast and was really a FUN episode, you can tell the cast was enjoying themselves.

I recall watching it quite a bit the first few seasons while at college, but that was mostly because our channels on campus were very limited. If I had more options, I'm not sure I would have watched it so much.

You guys forgot that Voyager has the absolute WORST Trek episode ever in it's midst. The one where Paris breaks the warp barrier and evolved (devolves?) and eventually does the same thing to Janeway so they can turn to slugs and get it on and have slug babies before somehow turning back to human. Spock's Brain seems like "The Doomsday Machine" compared to that.

That's the first one I ever sat down and watched (fell asleep during the pilot) and it was a few more years before I even attempted again.

I think the big problem was this, the original trek had it's own feel and for better or for worse, so did TNG, they were pretty much original. Voyager, was just a redressed TNG, same sort of vibe/pacing, conflict resolution etc.

When you're channel surfing, the series isn't instantly recognizable, you have to wait to see a cast member to say "Oh it's Voyager". That made the show seem more tired to me.

Just got done watching 'Corbormite Maneuver' on my PC here at work (love government jobs....).

With the raw emotion and tension in that ep, it speaks volumes of what Trek TOS was at it's best, and how it still resounds..

Kirk: "Not chess, Mr. Spock.. Poker!"

                            Take that, 7of9 fans.

Yep, that's a pretty wacky ep. But it actually spawned (pun intended) a Playmates action figure, which Trek collectors refer to as "Paris in PJs", since he's wearing his sick bay pajamas..
