The Herc movies aren't as beloved to me as the Gameras, I think I need to rewatch them.Leave a comment:

I would kill for an official Gammy MST3K release, those episodes are still among my favourites. I wonder if Daiei would ever consider okaying this (they may be less sensitive about having their kaiju movies made fun of than Toho would be)Leave a comment:

We really need a Gamera box set, it's the Joel series at it's finest IMO...Leave a comment:

What KMTA?
I like getting the classic Godzillas released by Genius Entertainment. The DVD has both original Japanese version with optional English sub-titles and the American Release version with optional English sub-titles. I have the first (1) Godzilla, (2) Godzilla Raid Again, (5) Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster and (6)Invasion of the Astro-Monster. They also made (4) Godzilla vs thr Thing (mothra), (10) Godzilla's Revenge, (15) Terror of MechaGodzilla, Plus Rodan & War of GiangantisLeave a comment:

I think you're not alone, I have them all. I just get the feeling that they're embarrassed by them and while I don't totally agree, I can see why.Leave a comment:

>The people at Best Brains don't want those shown. Nothing is written, everything is off the cuff and it shows
....y'know.... I'd STILL watch them. Mostly out of morbid curiosity, but yeah I'd watch.

Yeah, a friend of mine had a bunch of KMTA boots, and I tried to watch some of them. It was hard to get through them, long stretches with nobody saying anything and the jokes were really hit or miss. It was kind of neat to see them for history's sake, but Mike is right, they aren't very good.Leave a comment:

We'll never see legitimate releases of the KMTA days, the main reason is and I quote Mike Nelson "They aren't very good". The people at Best Brains don't want those shown. Nothing is written, everything is off the cuff and it shows.
The movies can be fun, I mean they riff on Space:1999 and Stingray but if you compare the Gamera eps to the Comedy Central pieces, it's night and day.Leave a comment:
