I was a huge X-Files fan...but the last movie was so disappointing to me...as well as the last two seasons of the show.
I love Gillian Anderson...she's a terrific actress and she's yummy...but the latest trailer didn't do anything for me...there was nothing there that made me think, wow, this is going to be awesome flick.
However, there's still X-Files love inside of me somewhere...so I might give it a shot and go see it regardless.
I'm like Hector. I used to be such a fan of the series. But the quality really went downhill and I just couldn't get into it anymore. This is a movie I will watch whether on DVD or catching a matinee, but it's just not a "must see soon" for me.
I really think X-files movies would have better success if it were on TV as a 2-3 hour miniseries. They have a loyal fan base (who likes to sit at home in the dark...not go to a theater).
I just can't bring myself to go to the theater to see a rehash of a TV series (unless it's something serious...like "A Very Brady Christmas". Now that's art!
I may not see it on friday, but I will see it. Loved the show and LOVE Gillian.
She looks fantastic with long hair!
I agree about Gillian...I still have a crush on her. I love how one of her eyelids just droop down ever so slightly from time to time, that's so sexy to me, lol. She has a very sultry voice as well....and don't get me started on those lips, lol.
I agree, this might have been better suited to a mini-series. Everyone seems to have lost interest after the last two seasons.
For me though, things like this don't have to be great or blow me away. I see them more just to visit with old characters I always enjoyed. So from that perpective, I'm looking forward to it, but I have no high expectations.
Put me in the camp of one-time fan, but I have no interest in this. Other than seeing Mulder and Scully again, the trailer did nothing for me. More of the same.
I gave up after about season 3. . .I didn't even other seeing the last movie.
No chance I will see this one. I must say. . .I wouldn't even watch if it came on the Tele. But that is just me. . .I just like my heroes and Sci-Fi stuff these days. . .and this doesn't qualify as either.
I enjoyed X-files, but was not a huge fan. Whether or not I go to see this one is based on the reviews, and so far it is not looking good. But I'll Netflix it.
I'll catch it in bits and pieces over the next 10 years or so when I happen to be in the room with the TV turned onto the Sci-Fi Channel or AMC or FX or whatever.
