Re: the Reeve thing---well, when ya run into the info as much as I have online you
start to take it as fact---you can google for yourself, if you like, and make your own
    conclusion..

but, yeah, the Carter thing makes the same point.

At the Superman museum in Metropolis, IL, they have one of Reeve's wigs on display with one of his costumes from "Superman" . . . that was the first I learned that he wore those in the movies. And oddly, the wig wasn't jet black, but had a distinctly brown hue to it.

Hmm...I must have missed those in Metropolis, or they weren't there the last time I visited (a few years back).

Chris wore a wig as Superman his real hair was thinner and wavey. It had the Built in spit curl. The guy who also played young clark wore the same style wig....In Superman 4 he's not wearing it.

Hue you don't have to get so defensive dude

we're talking about a Hollywood actor and a comic character not an average everyday balding Joe

It just would'nt make sense to me to have someone like Fraser being Superman.Everyone knows what he looks like bald,so when your watching the movie, you'd be thinking, man.. look at the wig on that dude the whole time.Kind of what like everyone says about Nick Cage now and his hair

For that just keep the last dude,he looked great and it was his real hair right?

Well I particularly DON'T say that about Nic Cage---and I feel bad for
those that do--as they can't get "lost/engrossed" in "the movies" the
              same way I can.

Hey I was JUST talking to someone on the phone about this the other
day---it wasn't about "wigs" but rather about tonal changes within
a movie that drug him out of the movie----I told him I wasn't so easily
"drug out" of a movie if---that is----IF---I, personally thought the movie
in question was "fun" or "good" or whatever positive word you wanna use.

So to each their own regarding being pulled out of reality because
an actor's scalp looks different in "real life". Doesn't happen to me.

And, actually, t2cool, what you said "...you'd be thinking, man.. look at
the wig on that dude the whole time..." I have to give YOU credit
because, at least there's some logic to that mindframe.

The funny thing is---not alotta people know certain stars are bald/balding
until the Internet Warriors start circulating all those "revealing" pics---
otherwise, you'd have less people having more of that same problem you do
              watching Nic Cage.

As far as keeping "the last dude,he looked great and it was his real hair right?"

Dang right! He looked good as Superman ---and that was one dang nice
              buncha hair he had!

I dunno . . . maybe it's just me . . . a bad rug's certainly one thing, but as long as it's a decent hairpiece (like the ones Fraser must wear, or the one Reeve wore) I think it's more like part of the costume. I mean, everyone knows Sean Connery's bald, but when he wears pieces in movies like "The Hunt for Red October", I think most people see it as the character, not Connery.

                  I don't think Chewbacca's hair was all his either . . .

Again, maybe I just suspend my disbelief more readily on this than others do . . .

I guess you can see it that way,but what about when let's say...Samuel L. Jackson did that movie where he had corn rolls or that fake *** silver hair in Jumper? to me he just looked ridiculous. To me yeah, some might get away with it,but I just can't see Fraser with the Reeves wig

                        For what it's worth---that's that.

Some things will strike others differently...black and white and
                        all shades of gray inbetween.

I still think Brandon Routh was good as Superman AND Clark. Just needs to let more of himself come out on screen. I do hope they do another and give him a 2nd shot before completely recasting but it looks like by the time they are ready, he'll be an old man.
