If you are referring to the Bible, it is more than 2,000 years old. Jesus if nothing else was a real life historical figure who walked the Earth 2,000 years ago....this is a fact and well documented by historians outside the bible who had no apparent ulterior motives in mentioning his name.

If the spores and mucus theory were accurate, then wouldn't we see more alien spores and mucus showing up randomly on Earth today?

As I have more than adequately established before, I not only believe in the existence of intelligent extraterrestrials, I firmly believe that they have visited (and continue to visit) this planet.

I am also of the belief that extraterrestrials throughout the universe exist in varying levels of technological advancement: Everything from primitives (when compared to us) to highly evolved and advanced (when compared to us).

Also, I strongly suspect that IF I am right about extraterrestrials visiting this planet, then they must have expended a tremendous amount of energy and resources to make the trip.

Consequently, they must be highly intelligent and (more than likely) socially evolved... not at all the war-like barbarians looking to wipe us out that some fear they might be. Their agenda would likely be exploratory / scientific... not destruction.

I've never really prescribed to the "Independance Day" / "War of the Worlds" scenrio... although it makes for great entertainment.

Once again, these are only my opinions, and not based in any scientific experiment or observations.
I... am an action figure customizer

If we land a man on mars he will be an alien.

I honestly believe the Human Race is not smart enough to determine, at this point, that there is or isn't alien life out there.
          It's too early for us.
It would be better to get our own sh*t together first, and make the planet a better place to live.
If aliens ever decide to get near us, I would advise them to take a detour around Earth.

Yes. I believe in aliens. Luckily for me, I haven't encountered any. But I have had a horrific dream once and it was quite frightening. In my dream, it felt like I was looking at evil itself, and this alien was hunting my family down.

There's just way too much unexplained things going on. Too many sightings...weird stuff but neat.
Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.

            1:9 scale ape's new suit for Cornelius;

Of course I do, ya ever been to Walmart on Saturday morning? I think that's when they sneak 'em in via a portal of some kind, cleverly hidden somewhere amongst the Womans plus sizes.

"Starting" to look like a Trek convention----that ship has sailed----

---but not by fault of this thread.

Actually, here we have discussion about a phenomenon that's potentially real
                  and not a TV show-

--however, some are unnecessarily bringing religion into it---mockingly, I
may add ---which is what we frown upon on the boards. Please try to refrain
                  from your cheap shots.

                  Moving on...

I would like to address darklords' feelings that other alien species
might be "noble" instead of "barbaric"---I find it hard to believe that any race
from anywhere would take all it's time and resources to come here
only to "learn"---we will indeed have some resource they need or can use---
that's enough to spark a problem that will devolve into something that can
never be put back to rights.

It is inevitable that friction will cause war between a visiting race and ours
either from the moment they arrive---intentional and bloody---or some
undercurrent dilemma that develops over time.

There may be some way, way advanced psychological way of avoiding it--
for an advanced alien species---I'll count that as a slight possibility

but (not to put humans down or anything)---we, ourselves, are just not that
                  evolved.

----the BEST that can happen is that visiting aliens are super-intelligent,
predict this typical behavior---and at the first sign of friction abandon Earth
so as to avoid any problems.

                  That'd be funny.

"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

I still think Hugh Grant's success is proof of alien tampering.

I have a sixty some year old neighbor that lives up the road from me. I think he is off his rocker but he claims he was abducted by aliens in the early 70s. He has all these scars that he claims where they "operated on him." Yeah, I know....

He has been featured in a handful of sci-fi books that really believed him. You can sit there and he will tell you a story that goes on for about an hour.

                          You never know...
