I am not dissin Hurt - he is a good actor (as long as you can avoid the accidental tourist) AND you are right that Elliiot is a one note actor -The thing is this part IS his note.Comment

I saw the Hulk today and like the rest of you, I was blown away!!!
I actually enjoyed it more than Iron Man. Yes, I think overall Iron Man was slightly the better film (it was a more polished product), but the Incredible Hulk had BY FAR the BEST climatic scene between the two. Nothing in Iron Man can compare to the Hulk going toe-to-toe with the Abomination...WOW...what a clash of Titans...WOW.
I have one tiny complaint though...
Did any of you guys noticed the Ang Lee Hulk jumps a lot higher than this new Hulk???
The Ang Lee Hulk practically flies over mountains...the new Hulk needed to crawl up the buildings like a one ton Spider-Man on drugs. What was up with that???
Anyway, aside from that...what a fantastic flick, when he said HULK SMASH...I almost peed in my pants, lol.
I rate it a solid A.

Saw it yesterday with the boy. We both really enjoyed it, I far more than I had anticipated. Even with this good cast, earlier this year I was planning on passing on this. But good word of mouth, some good marketing, and a 6 year old Hulk fan made me go, and boy am I glad I did! Again, not Iron Man great (although Andrew said he liked it better) but definitely one of the better Super Hero flicks, up there with Spidey 2, X2, and Iron Man. Ang Lee made a Hulk movie? When?
I thought the whole cast was great. I think Hurt and Elliot's approaches to Ross were very different. In this movie Ross is clearly in the wrong. In the Lee movie, Hulk was so much of a monster/menace, Eliott was practiacally the hero. That's one thing I REALLY appreciated, the Hulk actually got to be the hero of his own movie. And he fought a real villain, not some amorphous cloud-thingee that used to be a guy who stands in his own pee.
The CGI was pretty good. A few parts it looked kind of "rubbery" but this Hulk model had more emotion and seemed more life-like and powerful than Lee's blubbery chubby-cheeked Hulk. The quiet scenes with Hulk and Betty were VERY well done. It seemed like the animators got some more of Norton's face in there than they did with Eric Bana in the previous flick.
Loved all the nods and easter eggs.
QUICK SPOILER ALERT:
Did anyone notice the name of the guy who took the pictures of the Hulk vs. the army on campus? The TV news later identified him as "reporter Jack McGee"!!!
I loved the "don't make me...hungry" translation screw-up!

I have been reading The Physics of Superheroes you should check it out. it is a college physics proffesor who uses tones of superhero examples to teach introductory physics. He keeps it on a high school reading/understanding level so the non physist can have fun with it.
The whole first chapter is on can superman fly. The answer to the modern superman's flight is a resounding 'no'. But the golden age superman who 'flies' similarly to the way the hulk jumps is scientifically explained.
