Did you noticed how much more baddass this new Hulk sounded?

The Ang Lee Hulk was practically a bloody mute, lol.

This new Hulk is easily in my top five of all time superhero flicks.

Yes,.. His Growl's Were just so Much more moving & Powerful. By the End of this Movie,.. you WANTED to hate Tim Roth's Abomination Character so Damn Much. The build up to the fight was soooo great.

& Agreed. Easily one of my Top 5 Favorite Super Hero Flicks. I seriously can't believe How great these movies are these days. The Geek Inside myself is,.. well just stunned. Sure,.. the Movie had some slow points,.. as where Ironman had Comedy durring the Slow Points.... However the Idea of the "Hulk" has always been a bit depressing,... the Guy Don't trust Himself around Loved Ones,... What could be more F'ed up than that ?

Hulk Rules !!!!!! ... "FINALLY,.. THE HULK HAS BEEN DONE RIGHT ! "

Good grief, I had forgotten how soft and baby-faced Ang Lee's Hulk was...and soooooo HUGE...way too big...lol.

Even though this new Hulk is smaller, he's soooooooo much more baddass-looking, muscled and chiseled to the bone.

That's a pretty cool comparison vid, Hec. The new Hulk definitely looks more like the Marvel hulk, with his lanky hair, wide mouth, and olive-hued coloring. (To my eternal joy he looks like a John Buscema drawing come to life!) But I do want to note that, IMO as a student of figure drawing and muscular anatomy, the Ang Lee version has more reasistic physiology; his body looks like a real bodybuilder's in that when at rest, his individual muscles are not bulging of their own accord, as with the new Hulk. The new Hulk bulges gelatinously even when he's just standing there, and while this looks awesome and "extreme" it is not realistic the way Lee's version was. That said, the skin texturing of the new one is superior and more photo-real, so all in all he tends to trump the smooth-skinned, baby-faced 2003 model.

Yeah, and that was clearly a set-up for another movie. Interesting casting there. It will be interesting to see how he works out if they do another movie. I can't help but think of his character Delmar from O' Brother, Where Art Thou.

OK. I just got back from the theatre.
I simply loved it! The film was pretty true to the classic 80s Hulk I was reading about in Marvel comics growing up.
I saw the "hint" to who is going to become, The Leader. That was slick!
                          The Abomination was good.
My big beef. If you are going to make a movie that is true to a comic book, why not just make the Abomination look right? I was missing his big flopping ears. He reminded me of a giant bullfrog without his ears. That really bothered me. Plus the whole Super Soldier/Emil Bronksy story line was just a little off key. They could have handled that better.
Apparently there is supposed to be some cut footage in the movie at the end where Bruce stumbles upon Captain America in an iceberg. I was wondering if anyone heard this rumor or did someone on some Hulk forum pull BS on me?
As for the Hulk. This could not have been more perfect. The color was perfect, the hair and he face. THIS IS MY HULK!!!!!!!

Love the Lou Ferrigno cameo and the tribute to Bill Bixby!!!!

Anyway, the movie gets a 8 out of 10 for me.

I read somewhere last week there was a sequence at the beginning of the film where Banner is in the artic, apparently trying to kill himself since he can't find a cure. The Captain America "cameo" is there somehow. They cut it from the film for length, and because they felt it was a bit too dark. I think I read this on Newsarama?

It will eventually make it to DVD I'm sure.

True....but if you want to achieve maximum Superhero poses you have to push the anatomy further than in real life. As a student of anatomy also. It's impossible to achieve many of the poses in Comic books without pushing the anatomy.

Jack Kirby drew unrealistic he pushed his anatomy and actually the Kirby style came about from the many pages he did a day. Still kirby's figures were powerful and had life, always moving. Guys like Mike Deodato jr. Draw veins like drain pipes, Bryan Hitch has a bit more realism in his pics but also pushes the anatomy.....

The 2008 Hulk's is more exciting because they are using comic book style poses pushed to the limit... which work.
