I loved it I grew up reading the Hulk and watching the TV show and I was not dissapointed and the way they got bill bixby in there in a cameo was great it had all the best elements of the old TV show and the comics IMO well wort 2 gours and £5
Ahhh - that must have been "My Favorite Martian" - I only saw one episode and didn't notice it. Though it did strike me that it was the only english show on.
It was Mr.Eddie's father.... the Courtship of Eddie's father.....
Slice of fried gold indeed. Well said, fellow Hulk-fan!!
Thanks! I'm glad someone agreed!

I was so skeptical in the casting of one of the best overlooked "Villians" myself. But Hurt pulled it off!
I think so too about Elliot, I always thought that, but William really sold me man.

I have yet to see the movie so I'm going to take your word on Hurt being better than Elliott. However, I will say that it had to be a matter of script or director's vision. No way, all things being equal, that Hurt could play a military man better than Elliott. (I could tell by your tone, though, that you meant this as a compliment to Hurt, rather than a pan of Elliott.)
Exactly see above, not at all am I dissing Elliot at all, but Hurt really got into the part, just like Norton, and Roth did, plus another thing I really like about this is I just got home from hanging out at my Geetar players house and we were playing the PS3 version of the Hulk game, Norton, Roth, Tyler and Hurt lent voices! Have a look see! The Incredible Hulk (2008) (VG)
That's what makes me smile even more, sometimes actors won't lend voices to a game, but the 4 main actors did!
(The game's okay if anyone wants to know, plus it has tons of playable Hulks! EVEN THE MAESTRO! WOW!)
So again guys glad to lend my 2 cents in and get feedback! I sure hope everyone else likes it as much as I did and everyone else who has seen it!
I thought it was good. I'm not a huge Hulk fan. It's not a great movie, but the action really works, with just enough story peppered in to make you care. Marvel is doing an excellent job of creating an on screen universe. I hope they can keep up the momentum.

Hurt is ten times the better actor than that cowboy...Elliot always plays the same bloody role time-after-time...he is a one-note actor unlike the multi-dimensional Hurt.
I was thoroughly impressed with this movie. Esp with the cameos ( as already mentioned) and Lou F, still looks amazing!!!!
It had a believable storyline, which is a change, and i was pleasantly surprised. Id see it again.
Did anyone notice that the original piano riff from the tv series was in there? You know the sad little bit of music that accompanies Banner? Da da daaaa da..etc?
Fantastic
I usually go see a movie of an established DC or Marvel character 3 or 4 times before it comes to DVD, but this is the first time I've ever done it all in one weekend.
The Incredible Hulk has got to be one of the all time greatest Marvel movies ever made. Despite the great reviews and finishing number one at the box office, it bothers me that it didn't do as well as the Ang Lee Hulk movie on its first weekend. This new Hulk film is so outstanding in every category that it makes the 2003 Hulk movie look like it should have never existed. Edward Norton was outstanding as Bruce Banner. I could truly believe he was Banner as opposed to the pooorly miscast Eric Bana. As the love interest Betty Ross, I enjoyed Liv Tyler's performance, but I am more partial to the beautiful Jennifer Connelly. William Hurt delivered as General Thunderbolt Ross, but I am partial to Sam Elliot. Tim Blake Nelson was awesome as Dr. Samuel Sterns, plus he provided some humor. And Tim Roth was well cast as the villainous Emil Blonsky.
The CGI Hulk is a definite improvement over the crappy one in the 2003 movie. He looks more like the Hulk of the comics and it is priceless to hear "HULK SMASH!!" and even better that Lou Ferrigno did the voice.
What's even better is that there are plenty of nods to the TV series. Louie has a quick cameo. When Banner is surfing channels on TV, he comes across an episode of the Courtship of Eddie's Father, and yes, there is even a nod to Jack Colvin in the movie in that there IS a character named
Jack McGee somewhere in the film. Watch the movie to spot him.!!!
The plot and length of the movie were just right whereas Ang Lee's movie seems to go on forever. The action between the Hulk and Abomination is what the comics fans will really love. And the musical score of this film sounds more like the Incredible Hulk than the Danny Elfman score for 2003 which was not Elfman's traditional style, but sounded way too Asian for me.
All around, go check this movie out!!! It's well worth the price of admission. If I could go see it three times in one weekend, well that should give you a hint as to how great this movie really is.
Cheers.
I ran the projectors this weekend and saw it about four times. Even though I still think the cgi is not quite there, it was an all around good show. Story seemed to flow well, and as I have said before, Norton and Tyler have great chemistry. The nods to the 70's show definetely pleased folks like me.

I would guess it is BECAUSE of ang lee's hulk that it didn't do better. Word of mouth will lift this one over Lee's in the end.

Fantastic
"The lonely man theme". Yes, that was very prominent and appreciated.
One from the dumb question department - I picked up the Season Two Box Set a couple weeks ago with the movie ticket inside - did anybody else and were you able to use it? I'm gonna try using it tomorrow night - my wife doesn't want to see it - and she has a class - so there you go.
