The beaches are gorgeous there and the sea is crystal clear! That was my first major trip abroad and I loved every minute, the people were fantastic at the beach hotel. I remember relaxing by the pool some nights with a Cuba Libre gazing at the stars, that was an amazing sight. Also buying cigars from the hotel workers, everyone was a mini cigar shop.
I remember my younger brothers dad always bringing cigars in the 80's
He wanted to take me when I was 13 so i could sleep with a 21 year old my mom found out and canceled my trip
More than some, not as many as some others- USA, Mexico, Brazil, China, Singapore, Thailand, India, England, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Croatia, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Egypt, Morocco and I leave for Turkey tomorrow
Only ran across one Mego in anywhere (although I haven;t really looked that hard)- found a carded Spiderman in Singapore.
Cuba? awesome, the beaches are suppose to be beautiful there.Hopefully i'll go soon to visit my family

I was born in the Philippines, but have never been back since 1974.
Spain, England, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Holland, Belgium, Vatican City, Mexico, Ethiopia (OK..so we were stuck for a 13-hour and an 8-hour lay-over)...Kenya and Tanzania.
It's about time we return to Kenya for a visit, but now there are five of us and airfare is outrageous...it would probably be $1700 or more per person and we just don't have that kind of money to blow.

Same for the US, I'm afraid. We were booked in the International Hotel in San Francisco. The front looked great on the internet page. So did reception.
When we came to the first floor, our next door neighbour was graffiti spraying the door, to make him feel more at home, I guess.
Inside, the sliding window was jammed askew in the frame. Immovable. The sink was broken. The sheets were grey. The pillow was grey from the grease of the hair of a thousand previous visitors.
A pipe was hanging over the bed, and everytime someone flushed, we heard "it" move over our heads. You can add "sh" to that word if you like.
We went to reception, and complained. They offered us another room. We asked if there was a lot of difference with the one we had, and they said "no".
We menacingly waved our greasy pillow, and finally got our money back.
Welcome to the US!!!!
I thought it was awesome to get to go to countries like Germany, France, Sweden...etc.
Except we were booked at the worst hotels. Dirty rooms, dirty bed sheets. My experience was horrible, each band member lost about twenty lbs because we were scared to eat the funky food bought to us in Styrofoam boxes but I did get to see a side of Europe most people would run for their lives.
