I live about 5 blocks away, so I walk. In fact I pass Scott's street!

Filled up beside a guy with a huge Ford pickup with what looked like 10' tall tires the other day. Double tanks. 50 gals total. $170 and he said he wasn't on empty yet. Whopping 8-10 per gallon. With these gas prices how can he afford the crack he is obviously on to still drive that truck.
I drive my F-150 SuperCrew 4-door. I live about 10 miles away from work but have to drop my youngest son off at school by 7:10am each day. My office is 2 blocks from his school so I'm in by 7:15am each day.
sigpic WANTED: Boxed, Carded and Kresge Carded WGSH
I just filled my van with gas. Cost me $60. That's about how much I spend every week on gas, and I only work 12 miles away. Horrible traffic and putting on the A/C (because I hate to break a sweat) pretty much sucks up a lot of gas.
Used to have a 2-2 1/2 hour trek to work involving walking, 1 or 2 buses, 3 changes (or more) on the tube...as Barry well knows...have recently moved work location and now have a jolly 20 min walk to work....
ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF IT British by birth....English by the grace of God. Yes Jamie...it is big isn't it....
I do not work so I guess that would make me exempt. I do feel for those that have to with the soaring gas prices taking a chunk out of your pay day. Not cool!
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009
