    Traveling to Work....

How do you travel to work.
    I normally ride my bike...

The Bus was So packed this morning.

I live about 5 blocks away, so I walk. In fact I pass Scott's street!

Filled up beside a guy with a huge Ford pickup with what looked like 10' tall tires the other day. Double tanks. 50 gals total. $170 and he said he wasn't on empty yet. Whopping 8-10 per gallon. With these gas prices how can he afford the crack he is obviously on to still drive that truck.

I drive a midsize SUV that gets 20 mpg. Luckily, my commute is 10 miles each way so I eat about a gallon of gas a day.

I drive my F-150 SuperCrew 4-door. I live about 10 miles away from work but have to drop my youngest son off at school by 7:10am each day. My office is 2 blocks from his school so I'm in by 7:15am each day.

I just filled my van with gas. Cost me $60. That's about how much I spend every week on gas, and I only work 12 miles away. Horrible traffic and putting on the A/C (because I hate to break a sweat) pretty much sucks up a lot of gas.

21 miles each way. My Grand Marquis gets 20 mpg. Next car will be an efficient commuter as the wife has the van for her and the kids.
Too many toys. Not enough space!

Used to have a 2-2 1/2 hour trek to work involving walking, 1 or 2 buses, 3 changes (or more) on the tube...as Barry well knows...have recently moved work location and now have a jolly 20 min walk to work....

I do not work so I guess that would make me exempt. I do feel for those that have to with the soaring gas prices taking a chunk out of your pay day. Not cool!
