    Marvel's Superhero Movie line-up

    MSN Movies - Hollywood Hitlist

While I'd love to see a great Captain America movie made I kind of doubt it could be done. Keeping my fingers crossed on it though.
I'd be real excited to see an Avengers movie! This one could be pulled off!

Why is that? Now is actually the best time to make a correct Captain America movie with all the CGI digital possibilities.

Someone posted about Thor earlier, and the wrestler triple H is actually in the running for the role.

This is really geeky of me, but I'd love to see Cap set in WWII (at least for the first film) and for the filmmakers to incorporate the old "Captain America throws his mighty shield" theme in as a newsreel jingle or something. That would get my geek on big time! Hey they managed to get the old Spidey and Iron Man themes in the movies, so why not?

Rumors are that Marvel is considering following the "A" list model for some of these movies, with Brad Pitt rumored for Thor, and Matthew McConaughey as Captain America. Although I can see them going that route successfully, I almost can't imagine them pulling off an Avengers Movie just on payroll issues alone. Imagine Ed Norton, Robert Downey Junior, Samuel L. Jackson, McConaughey, Pitt, etc all on one flick? Actually Pitt is probably the only true high priced A lister, so who knows.

I'm so happy that the Captain America Movie is going to be set entirely in WW2!!!!!!!!!! But I'm not looking forward to them turning the Avengers into the "Ultimate Universe"! I want Classic Nick Fury!! In fact...Fury should atleast have cameo in the Cap Movie!

Pitt is too old at this point to play either Cap or Thor. He'd be a good Red Skull, though, don't ya think?

IF they'd make is correctly I'd love it! Maybe i'm just put off by earlier attempts. Truth be told even if it was terrible you know I'd own it as i do the other Cap movies

I've been thinking about this and was gonna say just stick to the big name super heroes for now, but really it's all about a director who understands comics and how to tell a story, and NOT nessessarly the character, what I mean is this, as an example Hellboy- a comic nobody had heard of, was awesome and made some good coin at the theaters and a sequel is made and a franchise is possibly established. Then take Daredevil- horrible frickin movie that kills the chances of making more Daredevil movies because the director/studio screwed it all up. So I think you could take just about any Marvel/DC universe character and make a really cool movie, as long as the studio gets a great directer and does it right.

                      Two points-
1 - This will hold up only as long as the superhero genre continues to make money. Iron Man's open is incredibly heartening, but we'll see how the Hulk and Batman do. I'm pretty optimistic for the immediate future, but who know how it will hold up until 2011.

2 - The success of these film's will come down, like any film, to how the story and characters are handled. Their have been some comic clunkers that were not handled well. I think Cap could hold a really good and appealing storyline, but, sorry fellas, it would have to be set in the present. I'd love to see him have to deal with maintaining his value system in the face of modern day pressures and maybe even a modern hero who thinks the ends justify the means. I really enjoyed how Cap dealt with the Punisher in the Civil War series.

I completely disagree! The first one should be set in WW2...and end with Cap being frozen in the Iceburg(which is Marvels plan actually!). Then the 2nd one, can bring Cap into the present, and deal with how someone from His Era, and moral values deals with Todays Society.

Naw he could still pull it off, just look at the way he looked when he played Achilles in Troy,he looked like Thor then. That was just working out hard for like 6 months

I thought DD Was Great Personally. I think alot of people were Bias with the Movie,.. because they dislike AssFleck for whatever reason. Sure the Movie wasn't Ironman or Spider-man,.. but it was good imo.

& Yeah Bolt,.. Alot of Mainstream Audiences have no Idea Who Hellboy is,.. & even was.... Just us Comicbook Geeks. For me any Easy way to see if a character is Mainstream,.. is for me to see if my Dad Knows who it is.
