Went on vacation a couple of weeks ago, and in shopping for a couple of DVDs to play for the kids in the van I noticed that the local Meijer selection had shrunk again since last time I paid any attention. I was out today looking for the Disney Narnia DVDs, and thought for sure I'd have some luck at Target. Lo and behold, I was surprised to see the DVD/BluRay section shrunk to maybe a fifth of what it was just a few months ago. Next stop, TRU, and similar results there. In a last ditch effort I backtracked to Half Price Books, and was able to find the first and third installments.
I know I can find these streaming somewhere on my Roku for $3-$5, and save myself the space of a DVD that I may not watch again for years if ever. But I still can't bring myself to give up the search just yet. It's sure looking like the time to buy is at release because no one is going to stock a library anymore.
