You're the only one taking this into a political aspect and see it that way. I honestly was only talking about Conrad. Sounds to me as if your subconscience is working overtime or maybe trying to tell you something about yourself. Just because you see it that way doesn't mean everyone else is wrong or must agree with you. Funny you mention being an adult. You have this child mentality to always try to beat your opinion over the head of others to try to get them to either see your point or agree with you and if they don't then you keep on beating that opinion into the ground just to get the last word in. Go ahead and prove me right. On my end this will be my last post in this thread and I'll gladly put you back on my ignore list. I don't need your respect. Sorry no respect to you but I'm sure you'll be just fine with that.
BTW, your comment, "I've been holding back" "Big Time" comes across as a threat whether or not you meant it as such. Frankly I could care less if you hold back, let it all out, hold your breath, stomp your feet or any other childish behavior that you can do. Give it your best shot.
So Hue, please consider it closed whether the Mods do it now or later.
Without being too political.....have a great Fourth of July weekend.
-Chris
Dude---you don't need to kick me out of this thread.
You don't need to close this thread.
All I originally wanted to point out and all I've really wanted to be focused on is the obvious political danger here withOUT it getting too political... I think it's GREAT that the mods haven't shut down this thread.
And you too have a great 4th of July weekend.... sincerely.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

Okay. Hold up. I re-read the posts in order... and technically, you're right. You weren't laughing at the joke at my expense... and a joke made that was an inaccurate implication of my motives... you simply could have been referring to Conrad. Fine. You win.

You must do what you think is right, of course.

You misinterpret my "threat". My "threat" was that I was going to go into more detail regarding why "I am right" regarding why politics have already been brought up here---and that that would be obvious "political talk" which is not only a stance which you would likely jump to negative conclusions about me, but, also frankly a mode of discussion that is against the law here. That was my "threat" if you want to call it a "threat"---I call it me being classy and respectful up to this point (in that particular context).

To get this back on track before it gets shut down.....
I knew OJ went to Florida but I had no idea how insane he became hanging out with punks and druggies and junk. Making a music video with topless chicks...selling oranges on the street corner. Man he sure went down hill but then seemed like he was doing ok in Vegas until the "robbery".

Yep.
"Politics" does not include talking about one individual's blind entitlement and narcissism, greed and bullying.
OJ wasn't happy enough living a comfortable life after the murder in Vegas, Miami or wherever.
OJ also wanted to avoid paying what the court said he owed Goldman Sr.
"Blind entitlement and narcissism, greed and bullying." Those are just some of OJ's things that made it inevitable that he'd end up back in jail again.
Goldman's father called it... as long as he made OJ uncomfortable (for obeying the law and paying him and being accountable), that (reasonable) action would put pressure put upon OJ and Goldman Sr. knew OJ's resulting ignorance would make him break "normal people's" laws again... and dang if Goldman Sr. was right.

Oh---and if this has to be my last post in this thread (I'd prefer it wasn't)---this O.J. Made In America doc has to be my vote for best documentary film made EVER.
It's a tight 464 minutes long (wow---that's like the length of four regular movies)---on amazingly tough topics to tackle (race, gender, law enforcement, etc etc), and it's just so, VERY insightful and "on the money" as far as I'm concerned.

Hue, you're back peddling like Ken Griffey Jr tracking a long fly ball in center field for the Mariners!
But it's all good. Glad you joined the discussion with some reasonable thought and less friction.
???
You say I'm back-pedaling... but you have no idea what you're talking about. If anything you have been holding my pedals so that they are stuck in place (so to speak).
Your feelings were hurt by the way I was trying to aid the Museum boards here---and that made you think I didn't like the documentary----or the discussion-----but that was always far from the truth.
From the start, my posts were always always always about the avoidance of getting political in a thread that is just BEGGING to get political.
Think what you want about how I feel on this... but I guarantee you are wrong. Biased and wrong.
Now, that I've had my say about how you misjudged my intent... now it's "all good" on my end... sincerely.
And... I could talk for hours on this subject, love this subject, and thought the doc was extraordinary.... so, if we're past calling me out for the wrong thing and still want to discuss the doc with a "reasonable thought" mindset and less "friction" then I'm all for it.

Welp. There you go again. You just couldn't resist getting off track again and trying to stir the pot.
