ours is going into savings, initially, but may end up going toward a new HDTV. Our two year old HDTV went out in December. We haven't been able to replace it, so far. So, this will help with that.
My GFs parents just bought their first new tv in, get this, 30 years. They went big, HD 48 inch wide screen. I can't see spending that much myself but they sure got their moneys worth with the old one.
"Steel-like jaws clacked away, each bite slashing flesh from my body - I used my knife and my hands, and when they were gone, my bloody stumps - and yet the turtles came."
Wow, two years old? Which TV did you have and what happened to it?
It was a Sony Grand WEGA LCD Rear-Projection HDTV, 42 inch (model KDF-E42A10). The replacement part that would have repaired it would have been $1000. I didn't have that on hand, at that point, either and figured why put $1000 into a two year old HDTV. Maybe I as wrong and should have jut saved to repair it.
I think I'll go for one of the new model 42 inch Samsung's in the next few months.
yea..if you use DD, you will get it that way..if you got a check in the mail for your real tax refund, then you will get the stimilus check that way. and i guess that if you used h & b, or jackson hewitt and got a check from them, then you cant get direct dep. on the stim. check either...anywho..im boned until the end of the month, by the looks of it..anyone wnat to loan me a 1000 bucks? no? ok....but im good for it, or will be....in about a month...or sooner...still no? ok, didnt hurt to ask....
