Only time I ever heard "sickle" is when someone just decided not to say pop first. Which was rarely. I'm in upstate NY.
        Yep, same exactly round here.

OMG! A Mister Softee truck! I haven't seen one of those since I left NYC in '79!

My fave popsicle, Bomb Pop! YUMMY! (I also like Fudge Bomb, which falls into the Fudgesicle category, not quite ice-cream, not quite a popsicle)

Fave ice-cream bar, it's a toss up between a Creamsicle and a Good Humor Strawberry shortcake.

But from the Mister Softee trucks? A soft serve vanilla cone w/ rainbow sprinkles! Do they even serve those anymore?

LOL! That's not quite the same thing as the malted ice-cream, Monkey. And BTW...I use that canned milk in my tea and my oatmeal!

Yep, we still have them. There is one that parks a few blocks south of me at work and on a really hot day I have ice cream for lunch! But I like the twist cone with chocolate sprinkles.

We used to have teenagers on bikes here called "Dickie Dees" and I recall my fave was a "Dracula Delight" a creamsicle with red juice in it simulating blood. The guys would usually sell you some Dry ice for a quarter.

I remember in high school a friend of mine started dating a girl whose Uncle made Ice Cream and got a box of Dracula Delights, it was like he found the Ark of Covenant.

From the regular Ice Cream Truck -- Good Humor Truck with the door in the back!!!

My favorite would have to be the Chocolate Eclair with Strawberry Shortcake a close second. Cream sickles would be #3.

Okay - Now I want some ice cream...

Cool! I remember when they'd mix the chocolate flavoring in the vanilla and it wouldn't entirely mix, and when you got a chocolate cone, it looked like microscopic chocolate chips were in the ice-cream. Ahh...memories.

Answering this thread seems near impossible.

                                What DIDN'T I like?

I WILL say that those Strawberry Shortcake thingies
are a food engineering miracle in my mind.
