    Icecream Man...What was your Fav Ice-Lolly ?

What was your favorite Ice Lolly as a kid ?
Do you remember what it was like to get Brain Freeze

    I used to love:
    Fab

    Zoom

    Funny Feet

I don't remember these, but thought they were worth a mention

I was always partial to Good Humor Cookiewich or whatever it's called (two chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream in the middle).

If I had to buy something not so expensive, I was always partial to the ice cream sandwich.

We have the same thing, but we just don't call them Lolly's

We usually call them "sickles" --- at least here in the US East Coast

              Not really a Popsickle...

A Popsickle -- here, means candy on a stick..

A "sickle" is an ice cream treat on a stick .......

              It's very confusing ......
Even took me a long time to get used to all these nutty terms

Makes me want to visit the US again.

I went in to a Deli in New York and I asked for a Tuna (bread) Roll.
The Deli-man didn't understand a word I said, I had to do a mixture of pointing
and trying to do a bad American Accent Toon-a before he
                  understood.

A popsicle is a popsicle. A frozen ice pop on a stick. Just like the box says. Many variations thereof. A popsicle is not a sucker or lollipop, which is hard candy on a stick.

Isn't this common knowledge to the average 4 year old?

Only time I ever heard "sickle" is when someone just decided not to say pop first. Which was rarely. I'm in upstate NY.

                      Lollipop + icicle = popsicle!

I loved a thing called a Screwball. Basically it was an italian ice (or water ice if your from Philly) with a frozen, tasteless gumball in the bottom. The gum was horrible, but somehow it made the treat worth it.

I also loved toasted almond bars (whihc tasted nothing like toasted almonds). I was a weird kid.

Not much for popsicles but I do love a good drumstick ice cream bar.

I always thought those Rocket Pops were nasty

It was like sucking pure BITTER juice

When I was a kid in California I ate a bunch of these:

Although the packaging was different (it was shades of brown) and it came with a little wooden flat spoon. I loved that stupid wooden spoon.....
