I'm a product selector (or picker) at the Jo-Ann Fabrics Distribution Center. Not the coolest job in the world, but someone has to do it.

Being a stay at home dad is really cool. I would have loved to have done that when my daughter was little.

It is a great job, work 12-hr shift work rotating from days to nights. I work around some pretty deadly stuff, even one that could kill me in one breath. There was one person killed at my work about 12 years ago from this deadly gas, but it was a "freak accident" and now that cannot even happen because they fixed it. Like they say about a plane crash, I am in more danger driving to and from work than actually being there.

I know it is not p.c. to talk about how much you make for a living, but this job does pay loads of it!!!
    BASF??

I work with chemical operators regularly in my line of work and occasionally still do shift work with them when we are implementing new technology.

It was actually pretty good. I worked at the Las Vegas Hilton for about 7 years. It was interesting to say the least. People who visit LV are usually pretty cool and looking to enjoy the visit and act somewhat normally. Its the 10% who forget that even though its "Sin City", there are still rules and laws and that normal people live and work there. But overall it was good and the pay was nice!! When I left the Hilton in 2001, top out pay for officers was 22 bucks an hour.

How did you like that? While vacation in Kansas City, MO about 6 years ago I had the opportunity to join Ameristar Casinos to work casino security but I passed on it. A local municipal police officer that I knew and worked with went to work for a casino in Vegas but left after less than a year.

I am a high school Drama & Visual Arts teacher. Although my degree was primarily in Visual Arts, my first teaching gig was in Drama, so that's pretty much where I have remained...after 11 years, I am hoping to shift over to the Visual Arts now.
