I am a Tree Surgeon, currently running my own business which has been going for just over a year now,i have been a tree surgeon for over 9 years and really enjoy being outside in the fresh air, seeing all the different types of wildlife and climbing trees
The wind and rain are the worst parts about the job but this is compensated by the Spring and Summer months, lots of nice sunny days.

I reconcile National accounts for the largest health insurer in the country. I have my own book of business and work several days at home and then come into the office a couple of times each week for meetings or if clients are in town. My side hobbies are varied depending on when I don't have things going on with the family. They include my thirst for nostalgic artifacts and collectibles from my childhood as well as researching television and film favorites. Each year I devote three straight days to helping run Wonderfest (a convention in Louisville) which brings in alot of talent, present and past, from television and movies. I have a home, a loving wife and two great kids (a boy 15 and a girl 12) who support all of my crazy adventures. And then, of course, I have my extended family here!!! I thank God every day for my life.

[QUOTE=megocrazy;115858]I run a distribution center for a tea company with stores in Boston MA and Providence RI. http://www.tealuxe.com is the web site for those interested. Been here since 2000.
My girlfriend and I frequent the locations in Boston and Cambridge. She is absolutely obsessed with tealuxe. When I mentioned to her what you do, she suggested we trade all my megos to you for tea : )

I work for peanuts as a trained monkey in an environmental firm (as an administrative assistant)
. At least it gives me spare change to practice my crafts and pay for daycare. Trying to get back to school so I could become a nurse so I can earn a better income. I keep saying next semester...Oh yes...and at home I manage 3 spunky boys, ages 9, 6 and 3.

I'm a Finance Director for a division of the largest retailer of musical instruments in the world. I won't give out the name of the parent company but anyone who has played Guitar Hero has seen our company logo in the game (where you upgrade the guitars).
I am not a musician but love music and appreciate the people I work with who are truly passionate about it. I have been a Certified Public Accountant for 16 years now but am better at managing people and working on analyzing data for strategic initiatives than actual bean counting.
I also coach a U-12 Division 2 Girl's Soccer Team. I have played soccer from the time I was in Kindergarten all the way through college and it is very fulfilling to be able to pass my knowledge and enthusiasm onto this wonderful group of young ladies.Leave a comment:

Well.. this is a long story....
I am now officially in charge of "Mirage." It is a business I have been trying to get off the ground for several years. I am now chained with four computer techs that work as freelancers and on the weekends we use our gear as DJ/Kj In affiliation with Abracadabra Dj/KD service.
Basically, these little DJ/KJs guys going out and get gigs. They "use" my computer/gear and I get a profit each show. I usually have about two or three shows booked on a weekend.
I am pleased that this is finally taking off. I now comfortable to do this as my own business and make a good income month to month.
I didn't goto school for four years to be someone's ***** in a factory. That life wasn't for me. I am happy to have finally figured out a solution to my computer degrees.
The only thing I regret was I wanted to originally make money playing in a band. But with the rise of karaoke taking business away from bands. The price to hire a band became lower and lower, making it impossible to earn a living as a musician. That is why I went back to college and got into the computer thing full time and combined it with a music source.Last edited by Cosmicman; Mar 27, '08, 2:41 PM.Leave a comment:

I run a distribution center for a tea company with stores in Boston MA and Providence RI. http://www.tealuxe.com is the web site for those interested. Been here since 2000. Before that I did a similar job for 14 years for the largest privately owned tool & hardware distributor in the Northeast. We serviced from Buffalo NY down to Maryland and Home Depot came along and crushed all the stores we sold to and then Lowe's finished off the rest and they folded after 86 years in business. This place does about 1/35th of the sales as my last job but I'm in charge and the parent company (an investment firm) doesn't bother me ever. Of course they could walk in at any time and say "hey we sold the company" or "hey we're shutting the doors have a nice day!". We're only 1/10th of a percent of the portfolio the company holds. We're like a butt pimple, as long as we're not a problem they just ignore us.
Hopefully they'll ignore us for at least 6 more years until my daughter graduates.
