Amen to that! My degree is also in graphic design, but I have worked as a tattoo artist for 15 years instead. I make way more than most of my design friends. And the designers that I know that do well have workloads and hours I wouldn't wish on an enemy. Plus being a tattooer is fun... it's like being a pirate but I get to sleep late.

Graphic Artist for me, but now I know that I need to do tatoos and retail on the side. Used to do some theatre work, too, but it is hard to see the wife and kids when you are stuck in a theatre all night. I decided I could go back to it once I've made my millions
              It's all good!

Municipal Bond Data Entry for a S&P 500 company. Pay is good-work is tedious. Respect -not much of. This is a part of the company that was seperate and bought out years before I got here. Most people don't knwo who we are, what we do and find us annoying and wish we would go away. Sooner or later this dept is going to be phased out. I don't know where the next job is that I should be looking for. I took art and communications in college but never made a career of either. I was a P.A on a Troma film years ago but at 40 I don't want to be doing P.A. work again. Any of you guys hiring in NYC?

Programing and setup for cnc lathes to manufacture the components to plastic injection machines. We make parts as small as 10mm and as large as 500mm.Some parts actually have to be taken outside and turned around in the parking lot and brought back in to machine the other side of the bar of steel.

By day I'm just an average citizen, but at night I put on a mask, tights and a cape and run around the city streets....I don't fight crime or anything, I just do it cuz it's fun!

I am a high school Drama & Visual Arts teacher. Although my degree was primarily in Visual Arts, my first teaching gig was in Drama, so that's pretty much where I have remained...after 11 years, I am hoping to shift over to the Visual Arts now.
