Very shocking and sad news. I've been watching him since Mork and Mindy when I was a kid. RIP.
I think Letterman normally records his show at 4:30pm on Mondays, so the news probably didn't break until after tonight's show was finished taping. Unless he taped and added something after the fact, which is certainly possible, all things considering. But yeah, a lot of fellow comedians and actors are going to take this hard.

I almost fell outta my chair when I read this! Such a great talent, not only comedic, but dramatic as well. I will never forget watching him on Mork and Mindy, and bugging my mom for a pair of those rainbow suspenders. I'm so sad to think he couldn't use his talents to give himself a reason to laugh. We'll miss you, Robin. You were one of the best!
