              What we consider to be "Chinese" food is often very different from true traditional Chinese cuisine.
              The Chinese have changed a lot of dishes to suit Western tastes.

              It's like Italian food: don't go to Italy to order "spaghetti bolognese with grated cheese"...

                Yeah just watch Bizarre Foods or any of the billion travel shows Anthony Bourdain has on for when either goes to any part of China.

                  Egg foo young and sweet and sour chicken are my go to meals. Chicken and rice soup is still a comfort food in my house...my nanny used to have it at all times.

                  Gotta have a real, non diet coke with Chinese too.....ice cold.

                    Basically the same thing, only in the Western World dogs, cats and rats are replaced with beef, pork and chicken ;

                      I go to one place just for the General Tso's. I'm guessing that they cut up fresh chicken breasts and go from there. It's perfect.

                      I go to another 2 places for Ginger Chicken & Basil Chicken or Harvest Chicken.

                      I go to a third place for curry (red, yellow or green - all good).

                      I'll also give props to Pei Wei for Thai Dynamite.

                        Salmonella. That's the last thing I had from a Chinese restaurant.
                        Fresh, not from concentrate.

                          Yang Chow Restaurant is the local place to go here. Their Slippery Shrimp is just diabolical.

                          You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.

                            Me, too. There are a lot of times I grab a quart to go and that's it.
