I wasn't dissin' your team, mate! Actually, I was pointing out that Italy likes to play defensive. Nine defenders and only one forward.

Uruguay won because their players have an incredible love for their country, which a strength that has no equal in the sport. Even being such a tiny country, they have two worldcups, and more America cups than both, Brazil and Argentina. Their players might not be the best technically, but with guys like Godin and Suarez, they can be lethal. It's always an spectacle to watch these guys playing. I really hope they make it to the next rounds!

USA against Germany it's going to be a great match. Germany started rightfooted in this tournament, but I'm rooting for the States.

Chile has to play against the Dutch next Monday. What a match!!!

My household has split loyalties... Uruguay on my side, Germany on my husband side.

So I've got two horses in this race, and I'm happy.

So that being said, while I'm thrilled to see Uruguay put on their big boy pants and remember they're playing in a World Cup, I've said it before, and I'll say it again... the team is too old. National pride only goes so far when muscles ache, and injuries recur.

Group D's standings are so up in the air right now. Uruguay need to win against Italy for a chance to advance, and hope England manages to beat Costa Rica.

I'm more secure with Germany's chances.

And I do have a soft spot for the Dutch... I'm a sucker for Orange jerseys.

Suarez is one of the best strikers in the World. His finish was clinical yesterday. Nothing England could do against those strikes.

Uruguay will be dangerous for anyone with Suarez in the lineup...having said that...they are one of the oldest teams in the World Cup...along with Argentina.

Colombia 2, Ivory Coast 1...that was a firecracker of a game.

        Right now...Greece vs Japan...a borefest, zzzzz.....lol.

        Congrats on your team...Lady Zod!

          Agreed.

I actually like Suarez more than Rolando. I give Messi the edge, because I love his low gravity dribbling skills, but if you say Suarez is more powerful and explosive...I wouldn't argue with that statement.

Little Costa Rica, squeezed in between former WC champions, Uruguay, Italy, and England...and it's Costa Rica who could turn out to be the big cheese in that group, lol.

Concacaf's teams, Costa Rica, USA, and Mexico, representing the region proud...with Honduras being the lone garbage team, lol.

After that shaky first ten, us has taken control. Still, without a goal to show for it, Portugal is always a goal away from making this one a rough night.

I'm sorry. Michael Bradley needs to put that away. But that's the difference between top class and world class.
