    Aww, thanks Dave!

Hey did anyone ever go to one of those drive-ins that you had to tune in your car radio to some obscure AM station to hear it, instead of using those speakers? When I was a teenager, ET was playing at some distant drive-in theatre, instead of our local one. It didn't have speakers, just the AM radio thing. Well, our car radio was broken at that time, so I brought my red Panasonic Toot-A-Loop radio (remember those?). Well, about 1/2 way thru the film, my batteries started to go, so although we saw the whole film, we really couldn't hear it too well.

I have a cottage in Saskatchewan, and there is still a Drive In there.

    It's like a Time Warp...

The lake is a Salt Lake, one of the birth places of Sea Monkeys (Brine Shrimp) and every time I walk through the local town, I can almost hear someone Whistling in my ear...

    I'm a lucky guy!

I don't think that we have any Drive-in's over here.
So never, unless a drive-in KFC counts

the only drive in I remember in Miami was closed in the early 80's or late 70's and was used as a flea market and then knocked down and turned into a BestBuy

But i just noticed there's one in Fort Lauderdale

I went a lot when I was around 12-14. It was fun to go and sit on the hood of the car and watch the movie/look around, go to the snack place.... The sound always sucked at the drive-in -- those speakers you would put in your window, were awful.

I also went several times in college, they played a bunch of older movies and monster movies. I cannot remember the last movie that I saw....

There aren't any drive in theaters around here so I never saw one.

I guess the closest thing to it is we have a Minor League Baseball team here in town that does promotional type activities all the time. My son was in the Cub Scouts at the time and they had an event to watch the game and then set up a tent on the outfield (softest earth I ever camped on) and they played The Incredibles on the big jumbo screen that stadiums have. I took my younger son too who couldn't have been more than 3 at the time and we just layed a blanket out on the grass and watched the movie before retiring in the tent.

We still have one double drive-in here, and the last time we went was a superhero triple feature: Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and the Hulk
